 + -1 moreWhen I stepped into the apartment, I immediately realized that Mister Scobee had been lying about his capacities. The paint was not dry, actually already chipping in some areas, traces of paint brush everywhere: The floor was a disaster. When i called him letting him know about the disaster he replied he would come the next morning. He never showed up. Therefore, I hired a specialist to come estimate. In addition to the 1200 dollars mister scobee never gave back to me, I spent about 1000 dollars extra to repair his mistakes. He refuses to answer the phone and also and especially to refund any of my 1200 dollars. Mister Scobee has a past history of small claims but has managed throughout the years to fool and steal from individuals such as myself.
Description of Work: Some neighbor and real estate representatives, John Hudson from Tampa, had highly advised me to contact David Scobee, local handyman. Mr. Hudson insisted he had used his services and had always been satisified both by his fees and the quality of his work. I had contacted M. Scobee for changing a faucet and as I was pleased with his work, I asked him if he could redo concrete floors. The old paint was chipping. On various occasions, Mister Scobee and I discussed about the process of painting using epoxy paint. Since he had came highly recommended, I trusted his word and gave him 1200 dollars in order to start working. I was away for a few days and when i came back, the first layer was supposed to have been applied and therefore dried.
