Went very well.
Service was prompt and efficient.
Cross Creek has also performed several plumbing repairs for us in the past ,and we have always been well satisfied with the service and very fair prices.
Bob came out promptly when called about our A/C not working the first time and replaced a modulator.
A few weeks later the unit stops again, we call, he comes out promptly. He said our puron was low but when asked about a leak he assured us it must be a very slow leak since we have had no problems in the last 8 months so we opted to just add the puron for $200 on his advise and not bother to pay to find the leak since it must be very small.
One week later I texted him that the unit had stopped again. He responded asking who I was. That surprised me since he had just been here and I had a text thread with him (of course I added his name to my contacts since I thought he would be our A/C 'go to' guy. Guess he does not take his contacts seriously enough to add them to his phone since I see in another review*, which I am really sorry I had not seen before these last encounters, saying the same thing.
Ok. Anyway he came out a few days later. While there he discussed replacing the coil and probably our condenser too. As he was talking about the different options he became very angry with me and my questions. As a homeowner looking at a very high cost project in our home I don't think it is unusual to ask questions. We hoped to make the right decision which we felt like we previously had not made the right decision by simply adding $200 of puron that was now gone one week later.
Bob got extremely rude. He actually YELLED* at me in our front yard . When I asked him why he was yelling* at me he said it was because I don't seem to understand what he is explaining. He needed to yell so I would understand.
Later that day another company came out to give us an estimate. The man was very nice and polite. When I recounted the issues we had with the unit (not the issues with the repairman:-) I had included that we had just paid $200 to add puron just a week earlier. That repairman said he could not understand how it could have cost that much to add puron. He was shocked. He actually added some for free (without my asking him to) since, as he said, it would get us through the night. How very thoughtful with it 90d out and we have been without A/C for 3 days by then.
*I see that another reviewer was YELLED at too.
It didn't seem as though the problem was fixed. The air handler was dripping water into the pan below and it had to be vacuumed out daily after noticing. When this company arrived he advised it was probably a clogged drain line and they also vacuumed line. The problem didn't go away and I was still having to vacuum the pan out daily and a few days later I texted the owner that I am still having to vacuum the pan daily and there still is the drip.
Now at the initial call he advised me to text my address and indicate clogged drain line - which is what I did. The second text to him he said I don't have your contact info or know who you are. Okay I sent the information to him again He advised that it sounds like the drain is still clogged.
So I didn't want to push him as I didn't feel it was an emergency. A couple more days go by and I text him again and ask if I am on my own on this or will you be following up to see why it's still clogged.
He responds "again" that I don't have your contact info and don't know who you are. I give him the info again and send him a photo of our previous texts back and forth. He sends back a text verbatim.....
"I'm just curious do you think I save every text I get"
I responded I was waiting for further response so I figured you may have our conversation since it was unfinished and thought I might be in your contacts since you did the job. What is your point by asking me whether I think you keep all texts? Call me, and I provided my number.
A few minutes later he calls back and starts yelling at me!? Really - why are you yelling? I just want my issue that I paid you to fix get resolved. He initially says he will come back but he's yelling at me. I say why are you yelling at me I just want to get this resolved and you being a businessman and......
He said, Forget it, I will refund your money and you can call the BBB! I said I don't want to call BBB I just want my problem fixed. He says I am refunding your money, etc.
I am not sure what his problem is but I don't like and will not put up with being yelled at by a businessman that I am paying for a service. Cross Creek Plumbing did quickly refund the money and I will give them credit for that.
I got another company that came and FIXED the problem and the pan under my ac handler is dry.
