The contract called for embedding the new mailbox into a cement foundation. I discovered, after the fact, that the concrete was not poured as contracted for. My inquiry call to Jim (site manager) revealed that concrete was not put in place because the replaced mailbox was surrounded by a bougainvillea bush. He stated that, according to company policy, concrete would not be poured in such a situation. Moreover, he indicated if I were to now remove the bush his representative would return and complete the project for an additional $30 dollars. My complaint is that the firm's failure to apprise me of the ''company policy'' in advance afforded me no opportunity to prepare the site for concrete emplacement. Accordingly, I should not have to pay the additional $30 dollars.
