Realizing this was going to take many more re-bandagings I made an appointment at Countrychase to learn how to do it right since I was being charged each time I went in. All of which should have been considered follow-up visits from a surgery they performed. When I arrived I was talking to the receptionist Donna and told her about my husbands experience over the week-end, when all of a sudden a woman I had never seen before came out and berrated me to keep my voice down. I asked her who she was and that I wasn't being loud I was only talking to Donna. She told me she was tired of my attitude and that of my husband and I should leave. I pointed out I had an appointment and was intending to keep it. She made other comments accusing me of things I said which I never did. She actually told me if I didn't leave she would call the cops. I managed to keep my appointment and the tech's showed me how to bandage my dogs leg and was charged over $60 for that plus some wraps. Because they were angry with me and my husband they were willing to leave us and my dog to our own devices without ever having finished with his surgery follow-ups. They didn't even care that my dog had staples going over 1/2 way around his leg. This proved to me they had no concern for my pet that they had been treating for over 7 years.
As I was leaving Donna gave me my records and to my astonishment and horror found out they had actually re-stapled his wound on the day my husband took him back to re-bandage the first time. According to my records there is no mention of any pain medication given to re-staple wound. I'd also like to mention in my records there was absolutely nothing of the surgery itself in those records. It wasn't until the vet I have now requested them that I actually received them. I wonder why they weren't included in the intial records. I wonder!!
I posted photo's of his leg on Facebook and everyone was appalled. If there was a place to post photo's here I would. My name is here so feel free to go and look at the pictures. I believe I've posted photo's in other reviews I've written both on Yelp and Yahoo!
Countrychase claims I have no trust in my vet........a silly statement when I have been going there for over 7 years and recommended the place to friends.
I now have a new vet and I'm completely satisfied. I've invested between 5 and 6 hundred more with my new vet trying to correct the horrible job Countrychase did.
I will never recommend this place ever again. I am sad that the one person I depended on there was Dr. Boston. I told the woman that came out I wanted to speak to her and she said everything she told me was authorized by Dr. Boston. How sad she would allow someone in her establishment speak to a loyal client like she did. I believe her name is Jennifer and she is the office manager.

"Unfortunately, the unusual happens and this was one of those cases where time and multiple people involved does not make the situation more clear and can actually “muddy the waters”. We strive to do the best for our clients and their pets and when something happens that causes our patients and clients to stress, so do we. For general information: if a testicle does not descend normally and remains in the abdomen it can be MUCH smaller in size and when the patient is an immature animal the testicle may be only a remnant. The obvious signs of a retained testicle may not be apparent for months until after the animal has reached full maturity. This case began with a kitten whose testicles never descended. The doctor performed the surgery and although only remnants were present it was thought that the surgery was successful. The kitten presented 6 months later with signs of a UTI and was seen 3 times in the same month. No signs of a descended testicle was noted. In December of that year (2 months after last exam and 10 months after neuter) on an annual examination it was found that one testicle had descended. In January 2013 another surgery was performed at no cost to the owner and the testicle was removed. The kitten presented with clinical signs of urinary tract inflammation/infection (UTI) a month after the second surgery. Lab work confirmed UTI. This condition is very common in cats and a retained testicle was not considered as a complicating factor. In July of 2013 our veterinarian recommended a testosterone level to check hormonal levels when the owner called concerned about unusual behavior. The owners declined the test as he was back to normal at that time. From February to November of 2013 the pet was seen by multiple doctors and several urinalysis confirmed that a UTI was present and the patient was treated appropriately. In 10/13 he presented with yet another UTI but was too fractious to be examined and although the owner now wanted the testosterone test it could not be obtained. Our veterinarian recommended an abdominal ultrasound which the owner declined at that time. In 11/13 a testosterone level was attempted but he was too fractious to be examined. Our veterinarian and owners decided to have both the ultrasound and the testosterone test performed at our local referral specialty hospital. The referral hospital located what they thought to be testicular matter. It was removed and biopsied. The owner called us to discuss the above situation. The Practice Manager immediately called our liability insurance carrier to review the case. The Practice Manager submitted all paperwork related to the case to the insurance carrier. The owner was reimbursed for veterinary services related to the “wayward” testicle."
"We love you so much and are so truly grateful to have you as part of our family =)"
It's taken a little bit longer than anticipated to clear up the issues but the staff has faithfully called each week to check on my cat's progress and to address any concerns. Any concerns I have had, they have taken notes and brought them back to the doctor. They have also gotten back to me on the same day with a follow up plan for his treatment.
They have been fabulous! I am so happy I went to them. They not only treat the animal but they also understand the emotions that can go with the care of a senior animal.
