The watch immediately flooded after I swam with it. I took it back and asked fort $115 to buy another. The "jeweler" wanted me to leave it so he could rectify the problem. I told him the watch was ruined and after a brief altercation he said I must come back another day and talk to the owner, his son. I was able to get the$115 after being grilled by the owner. He refused to refund the cost of battery replacement.

The redesigned wedding and engagement rings are beautiful and hold the diamonds more securely.  Cortes even gave us a fair price for an old 10K gold college ring that I never wore.  The total bill was very reasonable for the work performed and my wife is extremely happy with her "new" wedding and engagement rings.  I highly recommend Cortes Jeweler.  They are honest and pleasant to work with.

I went in there on Monday and told them about my rings. One really needed to be repaired the prongs were old and they said they need to be replaced. Helman said it would be fixed by friday!! I told him my father was coming and he immediately said and quot;you want him to see it, I will have it done by Wednesdayand quot; And he did!! It looks amazing. I had to leave quickly because I started to cry because I was so happy!! He gave my grandmas ring new life!! Its been in the family 50 years and will be here for 50 more!! He didn't charge me for jewelry cleaning. And told me to bring any of my jewelry back to have it cleaned. Every thing they did is on property so I knew my jewelry was safe. I will only go to them in the future for my jewelry needs!!

The work was done with meticulous care and the recipient was thrilled to have this family heirloom in her possession! This was the second time I used this business for jewelry repair and both times the results were wonderful.

Helman Cortes is very knowledgable and creative when it comes to redesigning rings. He was very confidident in his recommendation to use white gold for the clasps holding the diamonds and yellow gold for the shaft. It came out beautifully, better than I had hoped. He was very communicative by email to my questions as I waited for the final product. He estimated it would take 2 to 3 weeks and he did it in 2 weeks. It was a big job and I couldn't be happier. He treated me exceptionally well and I would recommend a ring design or redesign to him any day. He was very thoughtful to melt down the yellow and white gold from the former rings to keep all the sentimental value. He was so thoughtful and careful to manage every detail of my expectations. Since we were able to convince the original ring designer to repair the ring at a significantly discounted price, we would have used Cortes. The people are very friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, fair with their prices. At the time of the estimate, they estimated they could complete the repairs in about three days. Since this is a wedding ring, we wouldn't trust it with just anyone to fix, but had we not been able to save so much money through the original maker, we would have trusted the ring with Cortes with full confidence it would have been repaired properly, on time, and without any issues. We would highly recommend them!

They did a beautiful job. I couldn't find the right chain in the catalog, so the owner was nice enough to use one off of the necklaces he had in the showcase. I've been here numerous times and they always do quality work with reasonable prices. Everyone there is exceptionally kind and professional.

I wanted to find a jeweler that I felt comfortable with to leave my engagement ring for repair. I met the owner and son who were very nice and knowledgable about what they do. This is a family owned business. They explained what needed to be done, gave me a price and date for pick up. One week later my ring was repaired and looked like new. I was happy with their work and I would use this jeweler again. I felt very comfortable leaving my ring with this jeweler which is important to me. I would use them again.

We took the rings into the store, and the jeweler evaluated how he could enlarge them. They were precious to us, as they belonged to my mother. They gave us an estimate and said they would be ready in a week. They were right on with the price and date. The work was beautifully done, and the enlarging of the rings was flawless. The people who work there were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back for any other jewelry repairs.

He did all of this with excellent workmanship, professionalism, and customer service. We think he gave us very good value and we trusted him for several weeks with our gold and diamonds during the design and creation process. I spoke with the jeweler, Helman, in August about doing a custom ring in platinum with some small diamonds for my wife for our 15th wedding anniversary. We talked about the design I had in mind, I showed him examples and he made some helpful suggestions, then he quoted me the price - it was slightly more than another jeweler I had spoken to, but I liked working with Helman and felt that he was competent and trustworthy - and told me that it would be ready in two to three weeks.
About two-and-a-half weeks later Helman called to say that the ring was ready, so my wife and I stopped by to pick it up.
The ring was done exactly as I had asked for, exactly as the jeweler had promised, and for the exact price that we had agreed on. It was beautiful and my wife and I are both very pleased with the quality of the work done.
We'll definitely use them again for any custom jewelry work.

I was tired of my engagement ring catching on clothing; therefore, I decided to have my wedding ring and engagement ring melted down and redesigned into a forever ring. I took the rings to Cortes Jewelry based on Angie's List reviews and talked to Helman Cortes about what I wanted. I was very impressed by his friendliness, professionalism, and knowledge. I wanted my engagement diamond used in the ring, and my husband and I also wanted to use a diamond from his gold nugget ring. Helman showed me examples of forever rings and discussed the options with me. I told him that I wanted three more diamonds added to the ring so that the top of the ring was covered. His proposed design was more than I had imagined and was beautiful. My husband and I had also taken in gold and silver jewelry that we no longer wanted, and Helman credited it toward the purchase, which reduced the price to $300. We had researched gold prices for jewelry and Helman gave us top dollar. When I picked up the ring, I was speechless at how beautiful it was. Helman had done a fantastic job in designing and creating the ring. I will definitely use Cortes Jewelry again and highly recommend them!
