BUDGET RENT A CAR

I picked the car up at Tampa International. It is dark in the terminal so I really could not see the dash. As I left, I realized I only had half a tank of gas. My agreement with Budget was that I would start with a full tank and bring car back with full tank. As soon as I got to my destination I called Budget Customer Service. They were not helpful. All they said was that I should talk to the manager when I returned the car. I told them I would fill the tank because that was our agreement. She said if manager wouldn't help call back. When I talked to the manager I brought all my gas receipts as proof. She said she could not reimburse me for half a tank of gas because I had a zero balance with Budget since I rented it through Priceline. She did give me two $25 coupons for a future rental. I did not call customer service back because they were so unhelpful the first time.

The bottom line is I GAVE Budjet a half a tank of gas and they made two major mistakes. First, they only gave me half a tank of gas when they agreed to give me a full tank. Second, their customer service rep did not tell me that I needed to return the car with half a tank of gas because I used Priceline and had a zero balance with Budget.. While I was in the office discussing my problem, another customer was complaining that he had less than a full tank when he picked his car up.

Everything was pleasant and I will use them again in the future. They were very easy to work with and the price wasn't that bad for the selection they offer.
