The proprietor came in the time frame agreed upon and checked on my tree. He was extremely knowledgeable and even walked my yard giving me other tips when he was here.

Wonderfully well! Ken is very knowledgeable and non-biased, since he only does the eval and not the tree service. He will tell you what trees you need to remove and what can be saved. He not only evaluates the trees, but will educate you regarding all the plants on your property. The cost of the service is WELL WORTH IT!

Ken Miller was responsive, showed up on time and did an excellent job! Not only did he give us info on the oak tree, but he also walked us around the yard and provided info/ advice on the other trees, etc. Will definitely call him again should the need arise!

Went well. Based on inspection decided to keep for a few mores years adding sod and dirt to protect some roots.

AMAZING! Not only was Kevin super knowledgeable, it was so apparent that he loves what he does. He spent 2 hours with me and walked my entire yard, going over pretty much anything that was growing. I learned so much from him and feel very confident moving forward that our yard can look great again.

Ken was fantastic! He evaluated my tree and educated me on what he found and how I can stay on top of the health of my trees. His recommendations and patient, calm demeanor left me feeling confident my money was well spent today. It was pouring down rain while he was here but never gave me the feeling he wanted to 'rush' the visit before I was satisfied with his visit. I would highly recommend Ken if you are looking for advice on the health of your trees.

Mr Miller took time to check the products we are trying to use for treatments, and he had explanations and advice we could understand.  While here he checked another tree he has been watching for us.   

Way beyond what  I asked for.  I had him come out to look at a favorite tree that I thought was dying (it wasn't).  After that, job should have been done for any other service provider.  Instead, he asked, "do you mind if we take a walk around your yard?"  I've got almost 3 acres.  We covered all of it.  He went through the front landscaping, identifying and diagnosing each shrub, bush and weed, went to every tree and told me all about how it should be maintained, what to expect, etc.  He took me to the berm out back and told me what we could plant for best privacy.  He even went over lawn care.
The guy really knows his stuff.  And, as he will tell you, he has no further financial interest.  He  doesn't sell anything else, just knowledge.

Ken was great! He was able to work around our schedule and meet us early in the morning. We had a heavy rain that morning and was happy to hang around until it lightened up.  He was very knowledgeable about all the plants on the properties and advised of care instructions and what trees might pose potential issues.  He gave lots of recommendations for other resources to reference and what to not let other arborist do if we did have someone come out to thin out some of our trees.
Ken was very personable and i learned a lot.  Being new to the area and landscaping/gardening this far south he gave excellent instruction on type, care, and maintenance of every tree on the property.  I'll be calling him again for recommendations when my avocado tree improves.
I would recommend him to anyone who has questions about the care of the plant on their property.  And I feel confident hiring an arborist to trim my trees knowing that I can give clear instructions on what they should do to not ruin or harm my trees.

Ken was awesome. He knows so much and answered all my questions. I have a very large lot with Live Oaks, Laurel Oaks, citrus trees, palms, a banana tree, cypress trees and all kinds of other stuff. He made recommendations on care, let me know which ones were dead (or near the end) and how to choose new trees to fill in. He was very nice and provided great suggestions on additional resources.

He is very knowledgeable and educated me on my landscape. He answered all my questions to my complete satisfaction 

Ken was very knowledgeable, and explained in detail what to look for in determining the health of a tree.  Unfortunately, the oak cannot be saved, but I can now move with confidence in having the tree taken down, in that I got a evaluation from someone who is not in the business of cutting down trees.  I used an Angie's coupon for the evaluation and felt that it was a fair price.  Ken responded the same day I placed the request with Angie, and was on time with the appointment.

The Beyond the Bark arborist provided valuable information regarding the health of trees and shrubs on my property.  He also recommended actions I can take to extend their lifespan.  I was impressed by his extensive knowledge

and would not hesitate to call on him again should I have any questions or problems requiring an arborist.

After finding Ken Miller's Beyond the Bark on Angie's List - I hired him to come evaluate my 35+ year old Laurel Oak.  I couldn't have found any one more professional or qualified than Ken.  He has given me peace of mind concerning the health of the oak.  He informed me about the Laurel Oak and for its age, ways to help keep it as healthy as possible.  I have a field report with information to use in the future.  For the $'s I spent, I got more than my money's worth.  He was here for at least an hour and gave me help regarding trees close to the oak.  My Oak Tree is very special to me - and I was pleased to find just the right doctor.
