+ -1 moreMy 80 year old mothers toilet kept running, and the leak cost her over $300. The plumber could have told her it would have been cheaper if she went and bought a new toilet and just have the plumber install it. To me he took advantage of an elderly person.

+ 0 moreThey've been great. They do everything for me. They do plumbing, air conditioning and electrical. They come out about every three months. They've got a regular schedule with me. We have a maintenance plan with them and they charge me, I think it's like $87 a month. I don't have to worry about anything. They call me to schedule the time and everything.
Description of Work: They just came to do a routine check and maintenance on the air conditioning and plumbing.

+ -1 moreAs it clearly states on the heater label it is under warranty for 6 years. I called the manufacturer, asked for the parts department, gave the serial number, and was told the part was in stock. And free since under warranty! For $30 they would ship it over night. It arrived next morning. I called another plumbing company that came right away for the installation for $150. Total cost: $180. Need I say more about the ethics of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing?
Description of Work: 3-5/12 year old 50 gal. hot water heater gas valve/ignitor was fried by lightening. Technician said it could be replaced for about $500 but he would check for sure. About an hour later someone else from the company called and said the part was back ordered a few weeks and something about a recall. So if I couldn't wait they would install a new heater for $1450 and then because of the circumstances for $1250.

+ -1 moreThey said they would run a snake through my sewer drain for $130. Someone showed up and showed me a fee schedule of over $300. I told them it is not what I was quoted. They told me I had to show the coupon on the website in order to get the deal which they had removed from their site. So I decided not to use them. The technician was nice, but I talked to a supervisor on the phone who said that was the best they could do.
