Bay Area Pool Service & Pool Troopers

We've used Bay Area Pool Services since moving to this area August 2011 and are extremely satisfied. They provide reliable, quality and reasonably-priced service.

We had a very bad time with this pool and spa! There was some neglect by the previous owners of our new home, and then it was worsened by the home being empty for several months. We had valves broken, leaks, chemical issues...on and on and on. I will say we had some communication issues with this company (some things we would have had done if we had been told an extra step, at yes, some cost, would have rectified it), but the supervisory staff is very responsive. Our pool is coming along, they have been VERY fair in not charging duplicate service call charges, even when a fix SHOULD have worked, but something else was needed. In addition, I have to say they have cared and been PATIENT. We have not been so patient at times, and they have been kind and understanding about our frustrations. And in instances where a less expensive fix may be a solution, they have proposed that fix as opposed to just trying to sell us on what will make us the most. We are very happy with them.

We bought the house in Jul and hired them to do the monthly cleaning. They have had to replace/repair several items not working properly or worn out. Main problem has been an on-going leak in the pool which has taken numerous visits by several tech folks to work on since its difficult to find.

This was our first pool and Bay Area Pool was our first contact and since they were reliable and did the job required, we found no reason to change vendors. However, we did discontinue the brush cleaning as we found that we could perform that chore ourselves. The $40 is a monthly charge.

Pool now stays clear! Previously looked and was a frog pond. The Salt Chlorinator does an awesome job. They show up when they say they will and do a fantastic job. There will be no surprises with the prices. Very friendly and professional in person and on the phone.

Their service is excellent. They put in a new system that does not use chlorine so you never smell chlorine. They come every two weeks and do a great job. If we have a lot of rain they will come back in between visits.

Bay Area Pools has demonstrated their LOYALTY to a LOYAL customer and I would recommend their services without any caveats.

I've been with them since December and we have had no problems with them. They came ahead of time and did a wonderful job.

My grades are generally positive but I am moving out of the state so I will not use them again in the future.

The length of time that I have used them is a testament to their quality of service and personnel. They are awesome and I would not even consider using another service.

I'm satisfied with them. They are trustworthy and punctual. I never really research on price. They show up and they are good.

They spent a maximum of 10 minutes cleaning the pool and spa. Let the dog out and almost hit the dog with their equiptment since they had headphones on the whole time. They lied about leaving my heater on which happened twice.

Marty came out and showed me how the pool to our newly purchased home worked. Never having a pool before this was intimidating. He was patient and answered all my questions. I decided to use his services on a once every 2 weeks time frame. I would recommend Marty's company to others.

They have consistently kept the pool running well. The workers are courteous and helpful.

I have been pleased with their service. The employees were prompt for the service and were very kind and courteous. They took the time to explain things to me and let me know things that I could do to help keep my prices down. They told me some things I could do to help drop the price of the service. I think that are wonderful people and even the price was good.

They respond when I have a problem. I think they need to train some people better before sending them out. I used to have a great guy, but then they sent someone less experienced. But he fixed the problem for me.

They have been doing an awesome job. They are always punctual and polite. One time, we were out and our dog likes to play with them. They threw a ball for the dog and the dog landed funny on his leg and was limping a little. The worker left a note for us apologizing and said to please let him know if anything is wrong with the dog.

We have used them for 16 years and they have always kept things working and in order. We have never had any problems with the pool or with them. We would recommend them to anyone.

I like the pump they put in because it is quiet and energy efficient. I like that it has a remote to it so I can program what I need to from the inside of my home. They have never missed an appointment and they are very reliable. Everything they talked to me about and sold me has worked like advertised. They have been very helpful in educating me on how to manage the pool. The guys are very clean cut and they usually send the same people very time, so I feel comfortable with them.

They are very helpful and seem to always be able to help with anything that comes up. They leave a report every week with the name of the service tech who came out, what they did and any repairs that are necessary. You can call them anytime and they come out. I don't know the amount, but they are very reasonably priced. Prices vary with the size of your pool.

I had used Bay Area for more than a year, but I recently switched to a new pool service because I felt my pool just didn't look very clean. Now, I know why. The new pool service found that my chlorine was too low, my pH levels too high and my filter was extremely dirty. These are all things I was paying Bay Area to take of, but obviously they did not. After switching to a new pool service, my pool is sparkling clean. Another problem with Bay Area is that they will make repairs and replace parts without telling you in advance... and, of course, the prices they charge are expensive. They did this several times even though I had complained after the first time they did this.

Didn t use. Called to make appointment but sales rep called a few days later, said he d been to house and figured out what I needed (which annoyed me). When I called him he kept insisting I needed a pool heater the same size as original. I repeated that I wanted to downsize to a spa heater only. He kept selling me a heater that I did not need. He sent me a written quote that included a $900 filter that I also did not need and a $2,400 pool heater that was oversized (I spent $1,400 for the correct one at a competitor). Overall, I reckoned the quote was $2,500 to $3,000 overpriced. The strange thing is I received a written quote a few days later and I never heard a word from him since. Strange way to do business. It s not my way. I guess they think that all prospects are uneducated and are ready to be brow-beaten.

It took about a week to get on the repair schedule. I received a reminder call the day before the repair visit. The technician arrived right on time, and completed the repair in about one hour. The service technician was courteous and professional.

Excellent!! 4 1/2 years as a customer and to date completely satisfied!
