I waited a couple months and a couple good storms to write this review, the roof not only looks great and cosmetically perfect,, but also passed the test of the last couple good hard rains we had a little while ago here in Tampa Bay, Juan, (the owner), and his staff were very courteous and knowledgeable, they have done the roof in a good number of houses in the subdivision we live in, they take care of everything from start to finish including the permits, good competitive prices, and way cheaper than big retailer stores with the same products they offer, no left over roof nails scattered on the driveway, ( a huge issue with other companies), they even go to the adjacent neighbor yards to pick up the ocasional debris after the job is done. I will definitely recommend Avatar Roofing to everyone I know. Thank you Avatar Roofing.

I can only comment on the customer service I received as I never got far in the process of having a new roof installed. I had claimed a deal on Angie's List for a new roof. A gentleman came out and said that our roof did not qualify. I understood and had no problem with that. I still wanted an estimate for a new roof though. He did take the measurements and said that the estimate would be sent to me. A week or so later I got a message on Angie's List asking if I received it and I said no. He asked for an address so he could take measurements. I told him that he already came out and did that. I guess he never found the measurements and/or estimate as I never got another response. All I can say is that the customer service part of this was not very professional. I can't put a review on here for the quality of work as they never did any work.

The crew did an excellent job. Very professional and having two dogs the clean-up was great.

From beginning to finish this company was nothing short of exceptional. Communication was timely, work was completed on time. Installation was flawless and professional.

Avatar roofing did a great job. The office staff was courteous, the roofers were prompt and communication was clear from beginning to end, including scheduling, permitting, payments, and solidifying the warranty. I am very happy we selected them to put on our new roof and trust them enough to recommend to others.

Avatar Roofing called me to tell me that I lived too far away for them to honor the deal that I had with Angie's List. I understand that and I have no problem with it. However, the man I spoke with promised that he would contact Angie's List and have my deposit credited on my credit card. Well, the charge appears on my card, but no credit. The man was very nice, but did not follow through with getting the credit on my card done. I tried to call Angie's List and found that they will only talk to Gold members. I went to their website and could not find any way to get this sort of problem resolved. I finally just disputed the charge with my credit card company and I emailed Angie's List. I don't know yet if they got it.

Excellent - fast and professional workers who took very few breaks in high temperatures. Cleaned up the yard well, and checked and rechecked the yard for nails and debris.Of course, it is impossible to find every nail, but they went well above the minimum to try. Job accomplished in a day and a half, Worked nearly a 11-hour day the first day.

I would not hire this company again. Their work was shotty and they made a HUGE mess and didn't clean up. We found roofing nails for MONTHS. We kept a magnet because it was so bad and found thousands in our yard and flower beds. It's like they just threw them everywhere In fact we are still finding them (8 months later!) and my husband sadly stepped on one through his flip flop in the driveway. Time for a tetnus shot.

Other than some additional wood repair and that they could not put my old gutters back up - which they did make a point of noting up front - they were on time and on budget. Our house is small - I believe 17 squares - so it only took about a day and a half to complete. It certainly seems to have been a very professional job. I did find a few stray roofing nails on my lawn and deck after the job was completed, but other than that clean up was good too. Would definitely hire them again.

They did a good quality job and they were punctual. They were neat and cleaned up everything. I had a small leak once they were finished and it was the same leak I had before they put the new roof on. He told me he would get rid of the problem but it was not resolve. They came back and patched the roof, which I was not satisfied since they just installed a new roof. It is not leaking now, but they just put rubber cement over the crack. I spent a lot of money and did not expect to have the same problem.

They were professional and timely. They were also easy to work with and managed to meet all deadlines. They managed to complete the work in a day and a half. The roof looks amazing.

Due to imminent closure of the 30 day time window for special deal refunds, I chose to cancel the proposal with Avatar rather than lose the refund option, primarily because the work could not be started within the initial 30 days. Angie's List promptly refunded my payment and solicited another company (Augusto Roofing Inc.) to do the same work at an only slightly higher price. Avatar was my initial pick because of their superb ratings in Angie's List; however, since we never concluded a contract I cannot provide a review of their work. In this context and in fairness to Avatar, for the mandatory circle check at top, I selected an "A" rating since that was the last rating I saw for them in AL documentation.

Roof itself seems fine. But the clean up was poor - I just walked around the house picking up pieces of shingle, paper, and roofing nails. Avatar also did not contact the hauling company when the job was finished, so I had to call him directly twice to get the trailer moved off my driveway. So this company is not very responsive and does not do the full job that they promise.

Did not get. Not covered by insurance

Avatar responded within a week and quickly repaired the roof.

Avatar promptly came out to my house to measure my roof. It was much larger than the deal maximum size, which I didn't realize. Avatar called me immediately to let me know the additional costs in case I wanted to get a refund from Angie's List before the 30 days expired. I very much appreciate the professionalism, integrity, and honesty of Avatar. I ended up getting a refund, but will definitely consider them again when I do get my roof done. Thank you Avatar for your exceptional transparency, integrity, and professionalism!

Great! Called them the morning we discovered the leak which also happened to be during a tropical storm! They were at our house, diagnosing and fixing the problem within 2 hrs of our call. Really appreciated the promptness, and because they installed the roof (several years ago), they repaired the problem for no charge.

Excellent. Done on time and as scheduled. Good follow up after the job was completed. Done at a very competitive price.

Juan was excellent and phenomenal with his communication. Their clean up was awesome and when they left you couldn't even tell they had been there.

Called the provider on June 6th to schedule for an estimate. Office said Don would call me back to schedule a time. On June 9th caught up to Don by telephone and asked to have him come out to provide an estimate to re roof my house. Earliest he could come out, to do an ESTIMATE, was June 24. Maybe needs to hire an other estimator.

Was told roof is still in good shape. They also told me how to self repair some raised nails to prevent leaks. Saved me a new roof.

It went well. He was quite knowledgeable and helpful. He repaired a small leak and pointed out some defective areas that will eventually lead to leaks in the future. He didn't try to sell me anything. He apologized for his lack of responsiveness and said it was due to a heavy work backlog.

This was a $5,899 big deal purchase. Everything worked out pretty good. I was told by Angie's List that my purchase was valid as long as my account is active, but come to find out I tried to purchase it again and was told I couldn't. So I am going to take this up with Angie's List. I had tried to use some of my Angie's List bucks. I definitely spent a lot more than the price of the big deal. The final price was $11,250. Everything turned out good. The owner of the company was very respectful and the work looks good. I had a problem with the office people. The office people came off very rude when I was asking her a question. I did not understand how things worked and I asked her to break the billing down for me, but she got rude and hung up on me. I spoke with the owner of Avatar, his name was Juan. He was very personal and pleasant. He took care of everything. The guy is awesome and is a good gentleman.

It went fairly well. They didn’t really do anything. They just wanted to know the status so they did a good job on that.
