AUTOMATED GATES & ENGINEERING

I have been using another company for the last ten years. The technician supposedly reprogrammed my call box and he did not install the exit switch that I had bought. Last week I wrote the company a letter saying that I would never use them again. I called Automated Gate and Engineering for another opinion. They came promptly. I was told by them that the other company had "fired" my boards in the operating box and did not reprogram my call box correctly, nor install my exit switch. I had to replace both boards, which were working when I called out the first company. I was also told that the last board that the other company had replaced for me was the wrong board and it was for a double gate. I guess it was the only one they had in stock and it was more money! Right now I am waiting for the Automated Gate and Engineering company to come back this week and install the safety part that will automatically reverse if the gate hits something. I did not know that this was a legal thing and was never told this by my first company. We have been in this house for 30 years. I have been extremely happy with this knowledgeable company. They sent out two men and billed $95/hour, no trip charge, or gas charge. They really seem to know what they are doing. They both were on the phone to the company's technical support lines to figure out the problems that I was having. I live in Odessa and we have a great number of these units on residential properties. Especially in the summer with the lightning this is a needed company to have if you have a gate system.
