There were huge gaps (this tile does not require grout but one most have knowledge of how to lay it), many of the stones were chipped, and he even laid one that had a red paint stain on it. Corners did not match and most were uneven. You would literally stub your toes walking through the living room. It can be compared with walking on a sidewalk.  He claimed he could repair this but I brought in 4 licensed and bonded professionals who said there was no saving this. The floor would have to be ripped up and stone relaid. The Thin set he instructed me to purchase was for ceramic tile so when I questioned this I was told not to worry because he was a professional.  Not only was I out $1500 down payment but $900 worth of stone and $150 in thin set were lost. Frank Vanek Jr told me he could not refund my money because he needed it to pay his rent because he was going to be evicted and his car had already been repossessed. Since the lowest quote I had was $850 to remove the tile, we had made an agreement on 5/17/2016 that he would remove his mess and we would call it even. he never came nor did he return any calls and texts from that point. I tried taking him to small claims court but he bounces from residence there is no place to serve him the papers. I wish I could attach the pictures and texts..Think long and hard before deciding to hire this "company"
