Scott rarely showed up. When he did, it was for 20-45 minutes only. He was in shorts and flip flops. I began to think he wasn't really a general contractor. I noticed on the paperwork he gave me his address changed. Finally, after a long absence, I fired him and managed the subcontractors on my own until the project was finished. Then, Scott asked for the rest of the money and threatened to put a lien on the house. After a little research, which I should have done up front, it turned out that Scott Grabowski doesn't even have a contractors license. He's a scam artist. If he shows up to do an estimate for you, run the other way. By the way, this is not the American General Construction in Sarasota. That is a licensed and legal company, unlike Scott Garbowski's company.
