This was not an ordinary move since we were in a temporary apartment filled to the gills with additional furniture and boxes in a storage unit.  The estimator was very professional.  Because of the difficulty in assessing what we really had in the multiple locations, we opted for a "not to exceed" agreement, which turned out to be the best choice for us.  Much to our surprise, our belongings ended up filling the entire trailer while originally estimated that there would be room on the truck for another small order. | |The other employees of Arpin with whom I had contact for billing and scheduling were also very professional and customer focused. | |On the day of the move the driver and crew arrived on schedule and ready to work.  They worked all day long, and it was apparent that we would not be done in one day.  The driver was very agreeable and worked with us and the dispatcher in the office to allow us some additional time to finish our packing and scheduled the second day to finish the loading.  | |We encountered a winter storm that swept across the country while we were on the road which delayed us on our drive.  The driver remained in contact with us throughout the journey and personally made arrangements with us for the delivery.  He arrived as planned with a crew, and the team worked diligently to set up our furniture where we requested in the house, dealt with space issues with a smile, and off-loaded much of our belongings in a separate building on our property.  | |Throughout the entire move the driver and the two crews (one in each location) were great.  They treated our belongings as if they were their own, and we experienced only minor scrapes and bruises in this large move. | |We would absolutely consider using them again if the need arises, and highly recommend their professional, timely, and courteous service to others.

They did not deliver when promised,in fact it was a three week wait before we received our things. Some of the box's were crushed and one piece of furniture had a broken piece that i had to glue back on. They picked up the household in one truck and transferred it to the semi at another location. I was not aware that was going to happen. As a result our couch was left behind in the warehouse. They did however apologize for the mistake and pay

|for the shipping to get it to the new location BUT, my son and I had to uncrate it and carry it up 17 steps to the condo.

Would never, ever use or recommend this company.  They just provided no customer service, did not deliver on time and didn't care.  The worst part is not having the insurance coverage to pay for all the damages!  Now we must buy a new TV and find someone to repair our furniture and door.  This was an awful experience!

Our daughter hired All In a Box Moving & Storage (602 N. 34th Street, Tampa, FL; 813-269-4887; allinaboxmovers.com) to move household goods from one apartment in St. Petersburg to another.  She had a voucher from Groupon for "Two hours of moving service by two professional movers from All in a Box Moving and Storage" for $89.99 and was told she would also pay $50 for gas.  In her conversation with the receptionist, she was advised that the total bill included transportation.  It seemed like a very good deal to get 2 movers for 2 hours for $139 with transportation included, so she booked them for a specific date from 1 - 3 pm.

By the time the movers loaded everything the day of the move and brought it to the new apartment, it was about 1 hour and 35 minutes since they arrived at the old apartment.  I made a comment to one of them that they had about 25 minutes left on the clock (until the 2 hours that came with the Groupon voucher expired).  The driver replied that the 2 hours was long over already because the clock starts ticking as soon as the movers leave the All In a Box office in Tampa.  Our daughter said that wasn't the deal she brokered over the phone with the receptionist, so the movers gave us a card with the company phone number and recommended we talk to Victor Busciglio.

I called and spoke with a receptionist.  She was very polite and said the details were spelled out in the contract we signed.  I pointed out that we never signed a contract as our daughter didn't have a way to print out the copy sent to her. The receptionist said she'd have Mr. Busciglio call us.

Mr. Busciglio called.  He was condescending ('we tell everyone about those costs; not everyone comprehends') and absolutely uncompromising ('it's her fault alone') throughout the call.  He continued to refer to the contract (which, it's true, more clearly explains the transportation costs) and said the contract trumped the telephone-call misunderstanding despite the fact that the contract was never seen by our daughter before the move was completed (again, not the company's fault though they could have easily prevented the eventual outcome by more explicitly stating all of the costs in dollars and cents given the fact that our daughter told them she didn't have a way to print out the contract).

When I asked him how we could resolve the situation given my daughter's very tight moving budget and the misunderstanding that occurred, he said he would stop the job and keep her items that were still on the truck until he received payment in full.    Legally, he was probably right.  However, his manner and attitude were very disappointing under the circumstances.

In the end, our daughter wrote a check for an additional $165, bringing the total ($304) to more than double the $139 she thought she would be charged.  The main reason I won't use them again is the abysmal customer service and inability of Mr. Busciglio to see two sides of the issue.  Very interesting approach from a company whose web site boasts:  "ALL IN A BOX MOVING & STORAGE is a different kind of moving company. Customer Service is our number one priority."
Response from All In A Box Moving & Storage
"This the most common misunderstanding that some customers have that do not read the contract and listen when we expalin the terms of the move. Our terms are explained to everyone more than once and then stated clearly in the contract which was signed by the customer, I understand that the customer was on a tight budget but it is their responsibility to READ what they sign. We tell thousands of customers tha same thing just like every other mover. ALL customers pay for travel time to and from the the job. We pay our movers to drive to and from the job so we charge our customers. This is standard in the business. Our promotion was already giving the customer 2 hours for less than the price of one and he even wanted more than that! So I apologize for not making the customer happy but we can only do so much. So I recommend to Member always read what you sign and LISTEN! Thank You!"

The move into storage and then into my new condo went great!  The movers showed up on time for both moves and took great care of my furniture, china and other items.  The estimate Vic (owner) gave me held true and it actually took a little bit less time than he estimated!  The hourly rate was very fair and I was glad to see they provided all their insurance certifications upon request.  The movers never stopped to take a break - they were prompt, professional and experienced.  I recommend  All In A Box Moving & Storage very highly and would definitely use them again!
