ALARMS ETC

Alarms Etc got the job done quick and gave me options. The owner was nice, professional, and knowledgeable. I would go back there again if I lived back in that area.

Before bringing my car in I called Alarms, Etc. and told them very specifically what I needed to have done. It was the replacement of a GPS navigation device. I told them exactly what kind of device would be installed, what kind of car I had, what options the car had etc. They said "Sure, we can do it. We've done that many times. No problem." Based on this I brought my car in to have the work done. They installed the navigation device and charged me what turned out to be a very high price for their work. But it never worked properly. I went back to have them work on it but they were still unable to get it to work properly. I finally went to Technicar in Oldsmar and they reinstalled the device properly. The guy at Technicar said he was amazed that Alarms, Etc. didn't know how to do it. The fact that Alarms, Etc. didn't know how to install the navigation device is excusable. But what bothers me is that I told them ahead of time in great detail what the work was that had to be done and they lied to me when they said they did it many times before and it would be no problem. The bottom line is, don't trust what they tell you. They will apparently say anything to get the business whether it's true or not.
