Improper installation of the flushing around the chimney caused the leakage on the ceiling of my lanai. The leak was found by inserting a hose around the chimney, the hole on the lanai roof was repaired and so i thought. I referred the leak problem to Affordable Roofing, on Tuesday 07/28/2020, they send someone to observe, his contention was they don't repair a faulty chimney, my contention is I never had any leak on my roof for 30 years with my old roof until they applied their flushing on my new roof. I would rate them on a scale of 0-10, at 0 rating. I never heard from the owners about this problem, instead I was always pushed to someone or sent a representative.

"On 10/09/19 Affordable Roofing Systems received a warranty call from (member name removed). ARS then sent a repair tech out Steve M. to find the problem. After showing up to the home the repair tech noticed the flashing around the chimney was not properly sealed. The repair tech then re-sealed the flashing around the top. Because of the inside damages we had a interior repair company to go in and fix sheetrock on the ceiling and re-paint the area that was affected by water intrusion. Then on 7/28/2020 we had another warranty call from (member name removed) stating their is another leak around the chimney which we then sent another repair tech out to water test it and find out where the water intrusion was coming from. After further inspection and water testing we found that the roof is not leaking that it is the chimney cap that has been leaking because it is not the proper size. We had nothing to do with the chimney cap during the roof installation and have showed (member name removed) in pictures to show him what his problem is and he still is stating that its our fault. At this point (member name removed) needs to get a new chimney cap made that properly fits his chimney so the leaks will stop. (member name removed) also states that he did not have an issue with the chimney before we did the roof but we have photo evidence to prove that we did have to replace rotted wood around the chimney and we also had to re-flash it during the roof installation because the flashing was rusted out due to past leaks around the chimney."

Over all they were very professional, from the receptionist, the salesman and to the lead on the job, they all seem to work together. The work was done on time and the quote was very competitive. I replaced my problematic sky lights with solar tubes, and they were one of the few contractors that had any working knowledge of this great product. Unbelievable light now without the worries. This company was recommended to me by my insurance agent. After getting several quotes and information from competitors, I made the right choice. I would highly recommend them (and have) to my friends and family.

Each time I use a service or buy a product I learn a little more. Like what questions to ask. When anyone offers an extended warranty ask, who is backing that warranty? The work was done properly and timely. They cleaned up very well and no issues.

They were very courteous and professional from beginning to end of the job. The workers were very nice and did an excellent job. The roof took a few days to complete. They ensured the roof was protected when they let at night. They also cleaned up as they went along. The day after they completed the job we have a torrential rain storm and not a single leak. We would highly recommend Affordable Roofing.

I contacted several roofers in order to replace the aging asphalt shingle roof on my house with a standing seam metal roof. Affordable Roofing Systems had the best price and uses an American-made product, unlike their competitors in the area that use an imported product. There was a long lead time to get the metal ready, but that was common among all the companies I got quotes from. They have a crew that specializes in just metal installs. The install quality is impeccable. Every seam, every joint is tight and clean. The install manager was very particular about doing everything correctly, and they worked extremely hard to make sure the job they were doing would last. My house is so much cooler now with a pale colored metal roof, and now I don't have to worry about shingles blowing off in storms. I would absolutely recommend them in the future, especially for people who are interested in moving away from shingles for a more durable, long-lasting solution. My house looks great, too!

Do not hire these con men, especially if you are a woman and dont watch their work. We had kids up on the roof who should have been in school! When we installed cameras they had to change crews because of illegal shananagins. When they were done we could not get the county approval. Follow up roofers exclaimed it looked like 5th graders had done it! There were sharp pieces of metal sticking out in places. The site manager (owner's son?) was threatening to myself, and refused anyone to be atop the roof, and he was a bully to his workers. most didn't understand english. We caught them hiding new materials I had bought in the dumpster and retrieving them when leaving. for god's sake, stay away from them! we immediately had to look for another roofer. still in litigation

Soon after the roof replacement was completed a heavy rainstorm revealed two new leaks around the chimney. My belief is that the roofing crew rushed the job and were not very thorough. However, Affordable Roofing was very responsive and was able to correct the leak problem. Although the quality of their work was a little disappointing because of the leak problem their customer service and troubleshooting by Steve Mosher were outstanding.

Extremely satisfied with the work and professionalism. The estimator (Steve) was very thorough and explained in detail the entire process of roof replacement. The written proposal was provided on the spot and I accepted without hesitation. This was not the least expensive estimate I received, but I had a level of confidence that I did not experience with the other contractors. The projected time to start was 2-3 weeks and would take 2-3 days to complete. I was pleased when the start date was scheduled 10 days after I signed the contract. The work crew was outstanding.. They kept me informed during the process and let me know when the work would get very noisy! Clean-up was perfect (no stray nails or other debris). In phone conversations with the office (Erica), from scheduling to completion, I was impressed with the responsiveness and the documents I needed for my homeowner's insurance company were provided promptly. Needless to say, I now have a beautiful new roof and I am a happy camper. I will definitely recommend the company to anyone I know who needs a new roof!

This has been the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. The contractor that came to my home to correct the collar around my water heater input/output exhaust admitted that he wasn't sure how to perform the repair, and then proceeded to rip out the output pipe from the water heater accidentally. After placing it back in, a bunch of shingle and roof debris had fallen into the open water heater, causing it to no longer function. When I called the company manager/owner, after four times of being given the run-around, he became defensive immediately and refused to provide any reimbursement for the job or subsequent water heater repairs. I would never deal with this company again.

The workers arrived when they said they would. They were friendly, professional, and hard working. They cleaned up everyday, arrived early and stayed late. They told me the roof would be finished in three days and it was. They did a very good cleanup when they were done.

With the exceptions noted below, all documentation was timely and in good order, i.e., charges, warranty, wind-mitigation documentation, and military rebate. The labor crew worked hard and diligently for four full days in replacing the old with the new shingled roofing materials. However, notwithstanding the company's pre-performance advisory regarding homeowner responsibility for internal house damage and debris accumulation resulting from the re-roofing job itself, we were disappointed with the following: - Breakage of a large oak tree's lengthy branches and damage to a small prized plumeria tree plant as well, both of which were left by the crew on the front side of the property lawn and never removed after job completion. - Other debris left behind by the crew in the area surrounding the exterior of the house was minimal. - Debris left in the attic was not addressed by the crew and took me, the owner, three (+) hours to sweep and vacuum-clean the area to return it to an acceptable condition. - Lastly, the caged pool and surrounding deck attached to the rear of the house/lanai were left with shingle particles and other debris left untouched by the crew. After their departure, it took a daylong effort to return the area to normal after hand-sweeping, industrial vacuum cleaning, and use of a high-speed pool sweeper. Four days after job completion, a company supervisor came to the house for feedback and payment. These observations, along with supporting photos, were shared with him at the time, but with no meaningful response.
