We had a great experience with Affordable Lock & Security Solutions. Mike was super friendly and polite, and showed up on time. He was able to get our doors fixed quickly. He even had to run out for a few extra parts and made sure he came back before close of business on a Friday to make sure our business doors were locked securely over the weekend. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I called this morning sometime after 8a.m. and was able to get a quote from a young lady for a replacing a Kwikset door handle and knob with one I had purchased from a big box store (price didn’t seem too bad with Angie’s list discount). She said that she should be able to have someone out to us same day, I asked what time we were looking at and she asked “what time is good for you?” I said this morning, she replied with saying she could have someone out to us between 9a.m.-10a.m. (what, ahmazing!)! Michael called while he was enroute and let me know that he was 15 minutes out. He arrived on site, we went over the project together. He politely asked why I wanted to change out the entire door handle/knob since it obviously was not broken. I informed him we had just purchased the home. He suggested, (I’d assume, to save us some money) that we could entertain just re-keying the door lock instead of installing an entirely new handle/knob. While I did appreciate his suggestions, I just felt better replacing it entirely since I had already tried to “do it myself” and the one had been installed looked a little funky after I messed with it. He said the quote that I received over the phone was in line with the scope of the work. He also let me know that because the style of the handle that I had bought was different than one installed, cosmetically it would look and expose part of the door wood that was not stained. I appreciated him taking the time to tell me this, just in the event that I had not known or considered this. Thankfully, I did know this and was okay with moving forward since I plan on re-staining the door. Michael was professional and polite thru and thru, new handle and door knob look great and final price came in $2 lower than anticipated. Can’t beat that. When they came out the price they gave me was significantly more than what it would've cost me to go to the store and buy new locks myself and install them. Because I waited for the service man I didn't have time to do the job myself so I let them do it. What I received was just changed lock mechanism with the old knobs and hardware. Not good choice on my part for four doors!

I highly recommend! I had squatters in my home. I explained I was waiting for the Sherriff to arrive on a day that was not yet set. They gave me a quote for the work I thought I need, which was half the price of others. Well the Sherriff gave me 24 hour notice. when I called affordable lock and key stated they were busy but they would fit me in. I told then I had 3 locks possibly 4...well I was wrong! There were 6! So the quote was wrong due to the fact I was incorrect with the information I gave them. They did not price gouge! they were fair, pleasant, and helpful! Thank you so very much Affordable Lock Oh yes they did this all over the Phone! I'm out of state! They helped me in a great time of need!

It went very well. From setting up the appointment, to being notified about when the locksmith would be en route, I was kept well informed. Randy arrived on time and reviewed my request with me. He obtained two locks (with deadbolts) and explained the difference between the two (Level 3: which most consumers buy at hardware stores; and Level 2: which are a higher level of strength and security). Though more expensive, the locks felts sturdier and would provide better security. Randy installed them in under 90 minutes and even fixed the placement on one door so the strike and latch connected properly. Randy took the time to explain the process, the new knob features (so I wouldn't accidentally lock myself out of the house), and reviewed the invoice in detail. I really didn't know how much these cost, but for the service, I felt it was well worth it. I would use Affordable again in the future and highly recommend them!
