They work with really well with us. They did not charge us over and over again for returning back with the same issue.

They said I had two codes ...the evac code and a sensor.  They replaced the sensor but even after doing a smoke test could not find the evac code issue.  So I ended up going back to them 5 times over the next 30 days when the light keep coming on.  All they would do was to turn it back off.

They showed $1700 worth of repairs that would have been needed for this car, including new motor mounts.  Needless to say, I did NOT buy that car, so their review saved me a lot of trouble.

They were extremely prompt at picking up the car, but from there on it was like they were holding for ransom. If you decided not to have the car fixed there you had to pay to pay a high towing fee. They would not give an estimate until the transmission was torn apart. Then there would be a $700 fee if you decided not to have the work done there.

These people are professionals, they have seen every make, model, and year of transmission in existence and know what to expect. Its hard to quote a price without doing diagnostics but having seen so many transmissions they should be able to ballpark  a high and low figure. When I picked up my car I asked if if was unusual for a transmission to break at the low mileage  I had. There response was "They all go at about that mileage". So they do have info.

They have a Lifetime warranty, but to keep it active you must bring in the car every year (no matter the mileage since the last visit) and have it inspected and pay for a fluid change.  Most manufacturers don't require that service for 5 years or 50 thousand miles.

I did have to go back and have the flywheel bolts tightened because they evidently forgot to tighten them originally.

They were fast.  They did what they said they were going to do.  I didn’t have any issues with them.  I didn’t feel like they tried to upsell anything.

Wow, these guys really saved my butt!
I was trying to complete the sale of my old car.
The buyer took it to his trusted mechanic, after payment, and they reported that the car needed either the transmission to be rebuilt or replaced, as they had discovered looseness in there. This was going to essentially blow any sort of profit I could make of it.
With an AAMCO just up the street, I brought the car over there for a second opinion, explaining what the other fools had discovered.
They discovered a bolt or two were loose, tightened them up and, just like, my buyer was happy and my sale was complete.
Went from a $2000 bogus job to a $25 dream job!
Thanks guys!!!

Not especially well. They first indicated that I just needed to replace the gasket.  It turns out that I needed the valve cover as well.
I was impressed that they were willing to search for the part at the salvage yard..  Unfortunately it was Sat and many places were closed so I had to rent a car over the weekend and resume the search the following Monday.  (not their fault).

Monday morning they called and indicated that they found the part and it was to be delivered and installed by the end of the day.  The end of the day came and went no part.  They made their apologies and threw in an oil change for free.  It would be there the following morning they said, and would only take about an hour or so to install.  I returned the rental waited in their lobby expecting and hoping that they would make my repair a priority.....Not so much.   It was 4pm by the time I was on the road.

Perhaps we can lay all the blame on the parts delivery person that should have delivered the part to them the day before....but when they knew I was sitting in the lobby waiting and did not make me a priority after all that had happened,  I walked away as a dissatisfied customer.

Of all of the transmission repair facilities I checked the Aamco located at11612 North Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL had the best quoted price. My repair was done within a very reasonable amount of time and the quality was exceptional. At the completion of the repair the owner of the franchise took it upon himself to test drive my car with me as passenger. He also said please come back in ten days to make certain everything was working with no problems. The mechanics are meticulous and very cautious... as if they were working on their own cars. I would not hesitate to take my other car there if I need transmission service. I would recommend with confidence this facility to anyone who wants a quality repair at a very fair price.

Very well I must say, considering I'm a woman and I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of which was very important to me considering the "mechanic's history with women", In addition to the slow oil leak they called me and told me everything that needed to be done and also asked me if I'd like to get the oil leak fixed as well, told them yes and the car was ready in about 3 days. I loved their spirits. They were all so very nice. And yes they are my new auto mechanics for both my vehicles now!

Its never great having to swallow a repair like this, but this particular AAMCO location was referred my trusted everyday car mechanic, an indepdant source, and an employee of the VW dealership(gave me advise in secret confidence). With all 3 providing a high reccomendation, I decided to let them do the work. They take your car very quickly and within 1 day, the car was done. They also do a great job explaining the repair in detail and very professionally. Just hope I never have to use them again but I also wont be buying a VW again! : )
