DAN WARK INTERIORS LLC

I hired Dan to do some simple stucco patching and the end result was horrendous ! After I showed Dan some pictures of the wall that he stuccoed his reply was you should have hired a "stucco contractor " ? Now after spending $ 800 for what I am finding out from other stucco contractors should have cost $ 400 - $ 500 I have a wall that looks like crap. Everything is uneven the wall is completely bowed and slanted and now I have to hire another real stucco guy to fix his shortcomings. Save yourself some money & headaches and don't use Dan for anything related to construction.

I let him do his job. He said he knew what he was doing... I don't interrupt people while working, I look at it when complete or if someone asks me a question about the project.. By the end of the day, he said he needed to do a 2nd coat on the paint, so I said ok & he left. I looked at the paint job. It was awful...a kindergardener would have done a better job. I know how a first coat of paint should look like regardless. I called him to tell him that I was going to have my painter do it over. He yelled at me & said that I better pay him for the job regardless & he wanted to come by that same evening to pick up the money & unfortunately I was alone that night so I paid him to get him off my back. I am home on disability, but a General Contractor by trade, I used to run jobsites, but haven't worked in the field for 10 yrs. due to my hips & sockets being replaced. .....The sanding job he did was also horrific.. The wall was filled w/imperfections that was seen very easily. So after I had the sanding & paint re-done by my painter, I noticed the medicine cabinets were off center from the sinks. I measured one is almost 2" off & the other a little more than 1", but that shouldn't be the case. They should have been centered above the sinks. I called him again to let him know the med cab's are not centered above the sinks & he said "you should get your head examined".. What professional person says that to someone? If this was one of my jobsites, I know, I would have been treated differently.. I lost touch w/my subcontractors being out of the work field for so long.. I am having the medicine cabinets done over correctly this week. This man, Dan, is the most fowl mouthed handyman I had ever come in contact with & he shouldn't have taken the $700 I paid him. It was all done wrong. He should have worked something out differently with me instead of being so mean & rude & ripping me off so much money.. I had to pay my painter to sand & paint it all over & now I am paying another very desent handyman, to take down the medicine cabinets & put them up correctly this weekend. Dan posted my bathroom on his Facebook page, but took pics at an angle that you can't see they aren't centered correctly. I've had many people in my new bathroom that I designed & remodeled & they all see the med cab's are not centered & they all say that they would do them over, too. They all say it would bother them, too. So, no, I don't need my head examined.. The work wasn't done correctly... Also, because I left him in there to do his work & didn't bother him all day, I didn't know that he didn't cover my brand new expensive vanity top. I saw on his Facebook page that he just plopped all his tools & materials all over the brand new vanity. Not a good thing, as it should have been covered w/something so it wouldn't get dirty or damaged. "F" all the way. I will never recommend EVER!!

The reason I am giving a low rating is because after a price was set and a contract was signed, Dan began the work. After he finished the bedroom walls, he texted me and said the work will take more time and material than he expected, and refused to continue to work unless I add $400.00. I called him and tried to argue with him that what he is asking is not right and that we had a contract but he still refused. At the end because my house was already such a big mess and I didn't want to start searching for a different contractor, we agreed to settle for additional $200. I found it to be very unprofessional from someone with the amount of experience he have, not to estimate properly, and even so, you own the mistake and not walk away from a job and ask for more money. Very disappointed. The job it self was ok.

Beyond awful. I wouldn't use this service provider again if my life depended on it. The worst possible experience I have ever had with a contractor. He was supposed to install drywall and help remodel our kitchen after we had to fire our previous contractor for drinking on the job. He made a complete a mess of our house. He broke and stole one of our lamps because he wanted to use it for lighting. He sprayed knock down all over the walls where it was only supposed to go on the ceilings. The knock down he sprayed does not match the existing knockdown we had sprayed, even though he guaranteed it would match exactly. New drywall installed is not straight with several bends and curves. He did not dust the surfaces after sanding so I had to pay my painter extra to do it. When I asked him about not dusting it he told me and quot;its fine, it'll come right off.and quot; when in fact I had to have them wash the walls down thoroughly. The skim work has bubbling everywhere and lines and streaks throughout, which of course I didn't see, because the walls were full of dust and not yet primed and painted.

When we discovered all of these problems he was unwilling to come and fix the issues. At first he tried to bribe us with $200.00. Then he came out and and quot;supposedlyand quot; fixed the problems but in fact all he did was spray some knock down and apply some joint compound. Then he never came back to fix it. So now we have unpainted patches all over our walls and unpainted knock down on our ceiling. The gentlemen will not return phone calls or texts. Will not speak on the phone. He accused me of being a perfectionist even though the problems are clear as day. Don't fall for his and quot;I'm a veteranand quot; act. Seems like more of somebody with a case PTSD and a lot of issues.

I wish I could provide pictures and video evidence of the horrible worksmanship. Alas, this review does not allow for that. But it does allow for a copy of our text message conversation, which I will happily provide so you can see what I was dealing with! I can also provide the email conversation that lead up to this, and the pictures I took, upon request (I can't fit them all in this reply space.)

outside of the pencil markings? Jesus. I didn't know I need to go
through the whole house and paint it like I was Picasso. There are still
several skim spots and aeration holes throughout the walls. Do I need
to circle them again for you? How about painting after you're done?

all the skimming streaks around the house, and the poorly applied
knockdown on the ceilings, and the bumpy wall edges that you created,
that would make me happy. I paid you very good money to do the job

My experience went well. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable in his field. He was a little late on the first day, but he did an excellent job. The pricing was a little high, but I was pleased with the outcome of the service. I would recommend this company to others.

It was awesome. Dan was professional right from the start. If he said he was going to call, he did. He confirmed his appointment. He came exactly on time. The quote was very fair. I left him alone in my house all day, and he did an EXCELLENT job. I can't believe how good the job looks. I'd highly recommend using him for any painting and drywall needs.

It went well.

I have used him in the past as well. He was excellent on everything. He was punctual and reasonably priced. The work he did was great. He was very professional. I would use him again in the future if i need some work done.

Dan did the best work that I have ever had done. I had an 22 foot tall accent wall painted in my formal living room and he suggested another area as well as the art niches in the room to coordinate with the wall and it absolutely made the room look beautiful. Dan retextured and painted my guest bathroom, I knew that I wanted to do something in there, but wasn't sure how to proceed. He suggested using a different texture than the rest of the house and it is stunning! He is very resonable and exceptionally reliable. He is one of the most trustworthy people that I have met. I have no reservations about leaving my home while he is working.
