Recently we experienced an HVAC outage from a 16-year-old system at our home. Outside temperatures were in the 90’s and inside temperature were quickly approaching that number. I contacted four big name HVAC providers in the Tallahassee area—Benson, Barineau, E&B and Keith Lawson—to get proposals. All were responsive and professional. Then based on a neighbor’s referral I contacted Tommy McAuley at TMac Contracting, Inc. Based on internet research I thought I knew what we needed. Mr. McAuley, a long time expert in the business, was the only proposer who challenged my assumptions, took the time to educate me and, in the process, saved us from $2800 to $3800 based on the other proposals. He then said he and his crew would be at our home the next day to do the install. They were on time, focused, professional and a pleasure to deal with. TMac’s efforts from initial visit to completion epitomize “customer service.”

I knew Tommy the owner when he worked with a different company. I was not there while they did the service. I believe they completed the job in a few days. They did a good job. We did have a little trouble getting the inspection scheduled, but other than that everything went smoothly.
