i actually had several miscellaneous projects for Dee. i had a door that i wanted to be cut in half for the purpose of containing my dogs so that they could still see into the next room. Dee not only cut the door but finished it extremely nicely. he also rehung the door and reset and solidified the hinges. it swings so nicely and smoothly now! i also had a door that needed to be replaced but there was a problem - the doorway was not a standard size in either height or width. Dee trimmed both edges and if you did not know it had been done, you wouldn't be able to tell it had been modified. This was a hollow core door and he carefully replaced the interior edge strip (took the door apart and rebuilt it) Dee also built an 8 foot wide ramp of the back of my deck. it's wonderful! he was so thorough that he leveled the ramp so that if ever needed, a wheelchair could use it. Thank you soooo much, Dee!!!

I read several of the reviews posted and I totally agree. Mr. Dee and his partner, Kamari are accommodating, eager to please but most importantly he listens to his clients needs and wishes and gives good advice as to why or why not it would work. I think ? detail ? is Mr. Dees middle name. He is so conscious of every little thing, and will work until he and the client is satisfied. A very professional skilled carpenter. I met him as a person to hire, but I gained a good friend for life. Hire him, you wont be disappointed. Dee quickly responded to my request for handyman services, scheduled a time to meet, and made a very reasonable proposal. He began the work quickly and finished within the original time estimate. Dee and David are extremely professional and have a passion for perfection. Dee always had good suggestions about how to improve my project. They daily put in a full day's work and completely cleaned up when they were done for the day...keeping my house livable during the course of the project. For my convenience they worked weekends to get the project done in a timely manner. I have other work that needs to be done and Dee will be my first choice for that as well. I would not hesitate to recommend him and David to anyone.

Dee is a real find â a master craftsman, who works to a high standard and aims to please. He plans out his projects and has creative suggestions. He is highly professional and reliable, and his fees are reasonable. Most recently he repaired and painted a badly rotting deck â and now it is sturdy and looks like new. Dee also built from scratch a beautiful outdoor bannister decorated with a planterâ again, good looking and very sturdy. You will enjoy Dee and his work. We have used him multiple times and will again.

Dee is a very talented craftsman. I had a badly damaged kitchen cabinet that he repaired and it looks new! He showed up on time, patiently explained the scope of the work and did an incredible job. I asked him about a couple of other projects around my home and was impressed by his knowledge and creative solutions, so I plan to hire him again. He truly is a skilled professional. I needed to have some minor repairs completed before the sell of my home. Thrifty Dee came and gave me a fair price for the work needed. I contacted Thrifty Dee for a stair repair project for our rental property. We had a tight timeline due to a tenant moving in a couple of days. Dee was able to get to the property and assess the project within a couple of hours. He completed the job the very next day. His quality of work and attention to detail was phenomenal. His fee for the scope of work was more than fair. I will definitely use Thrifty Dee again for future projects as well as recommend him to anyone in need of a carpenter.

After searching for someone to make repairs to cedar post on my pool deck, I was contacted by Dee, who promptly arrived onsite where we discussed my job and how best to complete it. GREAT SERVICE!!! This guy called me while I was at Home Depot within 5 mins of Home Depot input. He is a high energy, can do fellow eager to be helpful. I had a contractor who absconded with the 50% deposit and I was in trouble and he became our hero. His positive attitude helped us through an ugly crisis and what looked catastrophic turned out well.

I hired Dee for a project to completely repair and redo the walls in the room and smooth them out and to build custom window sills and aprons over the existing tile that was trapped by the new windows. The room was in rough shape but Dee did an outstanding job and exceeded my expectations. I am very detailed and particular, and Dee not only understood where I was coming from but made sure I was completely happy and that every single detail of the project done perfectly. He is very meticulous and thorough and has a ton of pride in what he does. I plan on using him again for the rest of my home renovation needs and would recommend him to anyone!
