Steve and Mike worked meticulously to make sure the roof and water damage was repaired properly. I have an oddly shaped roof which required some and quot;customand quot; cuts and repairs. Steve made sure I was up on the roof daily , providing explanations, visuals, and education.

It's a small company. He explained everything to me very much. He's very reliable. He also brought samples out for me to see what type of shingles I wanted. I was just very happy with him. The estimate was high but I prefer him doing the job. He was very respectable. He responded right away 2 days after I called him. He told me that he was very busy but he got out right away to look at the roof. He was very polite. I like him much better. He seemed to be responsible and seemed to do the right thing. The other companies I interviewed were pretty high, too.

Working with Steve went real well.He did my previous roof 23 years ago.If I live long enough,I will have him do it again.

Due to a couple of leaks in the soffit and some and quot;softand quot; spots, I contacted Stephen Ferrell Roofing as they had done some minor roof work in the past and I was very pleased with their work and honesty.
Stephen gave us a fair estimate and included improvements to the roof structure to eliminate a water problem, replace the skylight, and also eliminated a much older style of roof vent which allowed animal intrusion and moisture into the attic area. The original chimney was an add-on by the previous homeowner and was not done to code or a professional level of expertise, thereby causing the extensive wood rot from ill designed drainage.
Stephen met with us several times to determine roof shingle style and color and also took me up on the roof to inspect the poor design and resulting wood damage. Each instance where additional wood rot was discovered was personally shown to me to ensure there was no bill adding etc.
As it turned out, the wood rot extended all the way down the side of the house including the entire chimney enclosure. Stephen fixed the roof to ensure the water drainage problem was solved and also arranged for a second contractor come in and repair all the wood rot (JEM Construction, which i have rated separately).
I found Stephen to be an excellent contractor and very concerned with keeping our costs reasonable despite the extensive additional work needed. he was easy to contact and made numerous personal visits to oversee the work and continuously check with my wife and I to ensure the work was to our satisfaction. His crew leader, Mike was also very good to work with.

I obtained estimates from several companies. Ferrell was not at the top or bottom, but they seemed to me to have the best value (what I would get for what I paid). My expectations were fulfilled. The quality of work was outstanding and Steven and his crew were great to work with. Many of his crew members have years of experience working with him and it showed in the way they worked together. They maintained a neatly organized work site with no damage to the grass or the many shrubs around the house, and they did a good clean up, including finding and removing nails that dropped to the ground. I would definitely use them again.

Outstanding job. Outstanding company. I could not be happier with the roof they put on my house. They explained everything as they went along. If they went along they discussed it with me and gave me options before they repaired it. I was not blind sided by anything they did. They were totally professional. They were totally considerate of my needs. I could not sing their praises any higher.

All of the members of his crew have been with him for many years. I chose to use him because of his reputaiton with builders and my neighbors. The price I paid was very competitive and he was extremely reliable.
