They did a really good job they did what they say they gonna do. I was pleased with them.

Zach and company did everything they committed to do.  The entire process went as promised/scheduled without any problems.  He crew was very professional and skilled at the task at hand.  I would highly recommend him to anyone needing tree removal service.  We definitely would use him again.Upon request he removed pine needles from our roof which, was not part of the original agreement.

I read several reviews on the company and decided to give them a call. Zack answered the phone and we agreed on a date and time for him to come out for an assessment and estimate. He arrived promply as planned and wrote us an estimate telling us that he would be in touch to set the work date and time later. We texted back and forth and coordinated the time and date. On the day of the job Zack sent me a message saying that they were running a little behind (I thought that was a nice gesture). I told him that it was fine and we would be there when he arrived...They trimmed a large oak tree, cut and trimmed trees that surrounded the backyard,  and removed several palmetto trees and other plants that were in our backyard. Zack and the crew went to work quickly and completed the job in about three hours. Removed all of the debris and filled in the holes with dirt from the roots. We were very impressed and satisfied with their work. He is someone that I will recommend to anyone who needs a good tree service for their home or business.

Great experience from start to finish. I called Zach on April 3, told him that I wanted to get an estimate to remove three or four trees. He came out early that evening, answered all my questions and gave me an estimate on the spot, but indicated he would mail me a written estimate. Several days later I received his written estimate which was exactly what he quoted verbally. He told me during a follow-up conversation that presently his schedule was such that it would be a week and one-half to two weeks before he could do the work, once I gave him the go-ahead. I spoke with him again on April 19 telling him we wanted him to do the work, and just like he previously said, it would be a week and a half to two weeks before he could start, but he would let me know a day or two before. On April 30 I spoke with Zack and he told me he could start on May 1, telling me what time he would be here. At the appointed time he and his crew showed up and got started. I was amazed at how careful he and his crew were, doing everything possible to avoid damaging our house, shrubbery and lawn. They had to work around irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, etc. and one of the large trees was in the middle of an azalea bed. Although I watched them do it, I can hardly believe they were able to get this huge tree out without damaging a single azalea. Also notable, at the end of each day, Zach and his crew cleaned up the area where they were working. Further, they hauled off all the debris, including the stump grindings. Although Zach didn't actually do the stump grinding himself, he scheduled it to coordinate with the completion of his work ,someone he knew was reliable, who also does good work. All-in-all, I couldn't be more pleased with the work performed by Zach and Spider Monkey Tree Service. Professional, knowledgeable, punctual, conscientious, very meticulous and they did this job like it should be done. Thanks, your hard work of the highest quality is much appreciated.

They were very professional and were good about telling me upfront what to expect. They also cleaned up better than some companies I've heard about. Even though it took longer than I think anyone expected, they stuck to their estimated price. My only small quibble was that the communication wasn't always great, but at the time I think they were pretty swamped by their success on Angie's List.

Zack was great to work with.  He was prompt and professional.  I was very impressed with how hard and long he worked to get the job done.  He had to work over the weekend to get the job done and did so gladly.

Zack Derrick, the owner, and his crew were prompt and very professional. They did what we asked them to do and they cleaned up well.  They all were personable and cheerful - the tree man "monkey" was funny - always singing - often something appropriate.  There was a need to tighten the main electric wire to the house and that was done promptly and correctly. 

Our large magnolia tree has two trunks and we were wondering if it was safe or should be removed too.  Zach recommended a device to secure the trunks together.  He ordered it and installed it without any problem and we now feel safer and are glad it didn't have to be taken down.

We thought an ornamental cherry tree was dying but Zach said "wait until Spring" to make a decision to remove it.  At the moment its leaves are pushing and it flowered very nicely.  We're glad for his advice.

We would hire them again without any hesitation and would recommend them to anyone.

Derrick provided the lowest of three estimates. He was timely in providing the estimate and performing the work. The tree trunk, limbs and debrie had to be removed by hand as the tree location was inaccessible to any vehicles. Although offered the opportunity to move his equipment across the front yard to shorten the travel distance, Derrick declined, ensuring there was no damage to the lawn. His cleanup was very thorough. I was very happy with everything he did.

I asked him to provide an estimate on a second tree in the front yard, a larger but easily accessible sweet gum. He provided a verble estimate on the spot followed by a written estimate later. I found his estimate for the second job to be substanially higher than anticipated. An almost idential tree had been removed from my back yard and the cost was almost half the estimate Derrick provided.

We called Zack and one other based on the great reviews on this List. Was quick to come out for an estimate and he scheduled the work about 3 weeks hence.  Came on time after checking the day before to make sure it was convenient. He did the job, and did it fine. Great job with clean up and smoothing over the ground after the stump removal. Had all the adequate tools and machines to do the job safely and efficiently. Took him about 3 hours.  It is worth noting that his price to remove the Large tree very close to our house was almost 1/3 the price of another highly rated company's estimate. Based on this we went ahead and had the tree removed instead of just removing the troublesome branches over our house.  There are still a few small branches overhanging the house from other trees, which I expected would also be removed, but they probably won't be a problem anyway. Also, we asked him to let us know if there were any other dead or dying trees that needed to be removed and he said that we looked to be in good shape, when we probably would have had what ever he advised done. So chalk up one more satisfied customer!

Everything turned out fantastic! I was very impressed with the clean up! You could not even tell they were there except for the limbs being goin. The crew was polite, professional and on time and I thought the price was just right!

I found him on Angie's List.  He lives across the street.  I have used him in the past.  One of my neighbors had used him.  I didn't know he did trees until then.  That's how I got him to do all my trees.  He is very reasonable.  He also cleans up after himself.

They did a great job and kept in contact with us during the project. I will use them again in the future.

My husband called.  An estimate was given and agreed upon.  The work was started while we were away.  The owner sent us photos of the work.  When we arrived to check the work, the area was cleared and some wood was stacked for later removal.  I was home when the largest tree was removed.  It was awesome watching the tree come down limb by limb.  Best possible service!

They were highly skilled and efficient. They were very consciences of their work. They were very reasonably priced as well. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Zach gave me a quote very soon after I have contacted him in august. They were very busy and were not able to get to me until he middle of September. Once we had settled on a service date, they were prompt and professional. They gave me advice on what wood should be kept for firewood and what should be removed. They handled the job well and avoided destroying my young apple tree near one of the trees they cut down. They worked late to complete the job that day and coordinated for the stump grinder to arrive the next day.

They were okay.  The price was right but I didn’t like that it took a long time to get things done.  It was taking a long time with anyone that I talked to.

The job went very well from being prompt to give us an estimate to performing the work, which was moved ahead of some other jobs Zach had scheduled because the tree was dead.  The tree that needed to be removed was right on our property line and next to a wooden fence and amongst shrubs.  He cut the tree with no damage to the fence or shrubs and short of a few divets in the ground from felling the tree, cleaned everything up as he had promised.  Due to the condition of the dead tree, Zach had to change the way he had initially planned to remove the tree, requiring him to go drop the top of the tree in our neighbors yard.  Zach first got permission from our neighbor and then completed all the work and cleanup.  We are very pleased with the job performed.

Spider Monkey did an excellent job at a reasonable rate.  I would not hesitate to use them again.

    Since it was such a small job, Zach said that he would schedule it between bigger projects, when he was in this area.  Because of that, he could give me a good price but I ended up waiting 4 weeks before he found the time.  They were finished quickly and only stepped on one daylily -- amazing when you consider how much they had to work around.  Now the area is opened up so the sun can get in.  I'm very pleased.

It went very well.  He told me it would be a week or so before he got to us because there had been lots of storms and our tree was not in a dangerous position.  He came when he said he would and did the work well.
