Source One Services

Overall - the experience with this company was terrible. Source One Services layed a laminate floor during the remodeling process of a home I purchased in 2011. The remodeling was done by the seller before I closed on the home. It looked good at first. But after only 6 months, the flooring began to bow up about 3 inches in the middle of the living room. Nothing I did could correct it. I called the man I bought the house from to ask who layed the flooring... thinking maybe they could help. That's when I was given the name Nicholas Maxwell at Source One Services. I called Nick and he came out to look at the floor - and agreed it was pretty bad. He said he was willing to repair the floor - saying he would call me within a day or two. I never heard from him. I called his business phone and cell phone and he wouldn't take my calls - i left messages. I tried to contact him for over a week and he wouldn't return my calls. If a business doesn't want to fix their sloppy work, that's one thing. But refusing to communicate with the customer is totally unprofessional. I would have been willing to pay for the repairs. After a couple weeks of trying to get in touch with him, I decided to pull the base boards up to see why the floor has bowed. There was no space for expansion - the flooring was butted up against the wall. Whoever did the work was not aware of how to lay a floor. Also, when I pulled some of the flooring up during the repair process, I found myself looking directly into the crawlspace - the plywood didn't quite reach the wall ! Shortcuts only make for bad workmanship and more problems to fix later.
