Excellent, expert work. We have had him come to our house twice before. The first time to replace a door on our then brand new Bosch refrigerator which was found damaged when unpacked. The second time to fix a faulty switch on our Bosch dryer. All times professional, expert, and right the first time.

The one time that he did come by (2 YEARS AGO), he was very nice, prompt, and seemed that he would help.....but, I have NEVER been able to track him down since. I've tried several times to no avail. VERY very frustrating.....my ice maker still does NOT work...

There are ONLY 2 providers in Tallahassee that service Viking gas ranges: Mays Monroe will only provide service IF you bought the product from THEM so that leaves only Paul Shields. As with other reviewers, I had difficulty getting in touch with Mr. Shields and after 2 weeks of calling and no response, I actually planned to visit Angie's List to see reviews of Paul Shields and to give him an and quot;Fand quot; rating due to my high level of frustration and no hope of getting my range repaired : and gt;(.
However, Paul did finally return my call. He was very apologetic about the delay - his is a one man operation where he answers phones, orders parts, and does the service calls, and he IS in high demand so he gets backed up. He does prioritize work - responding to those with a dead refrigerator before a non-working range for example and that is good but results in delays
After his call, Paul came that day. He was extremely professional, very quickly identified the problem and replaced the parts. He also provided advice and helpful information about my range. It is clear that he is knowledgeable,is very good at, likes and takes pride in his work.
Bottom line, his work is excellent and highly recommended (especially if you have Viking appliances not purchased at Mays Monroe) but be prepared for difficulty in getting in touch with him.

First class service. Recommended by a local appliance dealer. A little tough to get a hold of, but after Paul called back, it was absolutely the best appliance service I have observed in 25 years of home ownership. Diagnosed the problem with the igniters in ten minutes and twenty minutes later he was done, testing and all. Amazing. During the idle time while testing and waiting for the oven to warmup. He talked me through two fixes on our refrigerator door and recommended maintenance on an ice maker.

I can't describe any work performance since no work took place. I would at the very least expect a return phone call from someone you have left multiple messages for over several months. It is very disrespectful to completely ignore a potential customer. We used another company that was fabulous. I think it was Smith's Appliance. Call them instead.
