Remodel Solution

It started off bad with the contract having costs for the installation of 2 cabinets that did not exist.  The sales person had measured the room and had designed a kitchen that did not fit therefore eliminating a cabinet.  The cabinet installers were suppose to be there at 8 am on Thursday and even after repeated calls to the sales person they did not show up until Friday afternoon.  Their workmanship was sloppy and damaged the cabinets.  They tried to cover up some of their mistakes but could not get replacement cabinets for those in which had been marred to being unacceptable.  Apparently their cabinet suppler had cut them off.  They then took another cabinet with a glazed maple finish and tried to stain it to match the cabinets that I had purchased.  I finally asked them to leave since the more work they completed the more scratched the cabinets became.  I asked them to leave the property.  The owner would not replace his cabinets that he had stained in an effort to look like the ones I bought and told him this was a deal breaker. Since this time I will have spent approximately $3500 more to have the countertops replaced (they were cracking all over from lack of leveling) and another $1,000 to have the drawers rebuilt to be square and therefore close.  I also found the manufacture of the cabinets and purchase one directly from them to replace one cabinet that was totally ad different finish. I had a carpenter build a support beneath part of the countertops that had no support and were had stress cracks within 3 days of installation. I will also be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau.
