"This customer wanted to save as much money as she could, she only wanted some of the floor boards replaced. She did not want to replace any of the frame or posts on the deck. The new floor boards were installed on the original frame and the hand rail was installed on the original posts. The old frame and posts were not straight, but she did not want to spend any more money, so we had to work with what we had. We should not get a low rating just because we did what the customer wanted!! Also this work was done almost a year ago! As of this date, the customer has not done any up keep to the new boards, no pressure wash, no stain and never has this customer called and asked us to fix or change or replace any thing!!!"
The deck was finished about a week and a half after I paid the initial deposit. He had initially told me it would be about 2 weeks before he could get started, so things actually were done a little bit ahead of when I thought they would be. Once started the project took about 2 days.
We had Rick come out and measure the yard, and he gave suggestions and clear quotes of several different scenarios. We decided what we wanted, and he gave us a start date of about 10 tens later. They came as scheduled, and got a lot done. They worked around uneven ground, tree roots, removed shrubbery, and creatively avoided trees that were on the fence line. We have dogs, as do our neighbors, so they built the connecting side first, as we requested. They kept us informed of the progress, and of an unexpected delay due to weather. The finish date was 2 days later than expected, which is not surprising for an outdoor job. Overall, a very pleasant and professional experience. The fence looks great, there are no gaps at the bottom so the dogs are safe, and the fence appears to be very well constructed.
Highly recommend them!"This was the worst expierence we have ever had with a customer !! The customer failed to mention several things! We agreed to install the new fence in the same location as the 25 year old fence. He wanted the new fence in a new location, after it was built ( at no charge ). He did not tell anyone he had installed cement under the old fence to keep his dogs in, right where the new fence had to go. He wanted the fence bigger, after we had finished the job ( at no charge ). He demanded we cut down extra trees, ( at no charge ) to make way for the new fence. We offered to repair or replace any thing he wanted, to make him happy, as every thing he wanted was cosmetic, He did not pay the total amount due. He built his own deck, ( without a permit ) because he could not find ANY contractors that were good enough for him. He demanded that we dig out the extra cement in the ground, and haul it off, ( at no charge ) , as he does not have a dog. At the very first meeting, the customer told us he is going to remodel his house him self, as he cant find ANY contractors that are good enough. We should have known better, than to do any work for him!!!"
