Robert Lindsay is the owner of this company. I called for three estimates and the owner of this company came out and we sat down and chatted in terms of the renovations, additions that I wanted to do. He took notes and what have you and told me that he would check on some codes that he wanted to do. He was also a designer so he would get back with me regarding the design. I never heard from him anymore. I called him may be a month and a half ago and I communicated with him. He told he would get back to me and that he was still working on getting that building code information for me. Since I did not hear from him anymore I called him again and found out that he had an emergency and had to go out of town and as soon as he would get back into town he would call me back. He never ever called back. I am glad that I did not pay him any money. If this is the kind of service that I am going to get, in trying to get what I wanted then just imagine what if I paid some money. Anyway after I communicated with Angies List and I got some other people. But something still weighed heavy on my mind and I wanted to let him know how I felt about his business procedures so I continued to call him and left messages to call back but he never returned the calls. So in other words I did not hear anything back. May be after two or three months I tried his number again because at this point I did not want his business but I wanted to let him know how much I did not appreciate how he performed with me and really give him a piece of my mind. Of course he was still out of town. He apologised of course and said that he normally does not operate this way. But I told him at least he could have called me, a phone call would have been better than the anything at all. He told me that he is still out of town and on coming back to Tallahassee he would get in touch with me. I just did not like his business practice and I don’t want anybody else to encounter this. Not that I had signed any contract or paid any money but I am livered about doing anything or going beyond with him. Anyway this is the name I want to submit. We did not reach a point of a quote. He asked me what kind of a budget I was working with. This is what threw me for a loop why I sort of got upset. First of all I am new with this, wanting to do any type of renovation or addition. I did not realise how expensive this was but since he asked me what my budget was and I told him. I think the reason why he did not call me back was because he did not feel with the amount of work that I wanted to be done, he probably thought that it was joke. But still, if I am ignorant to the fact of the cost of these things. At least let me know. He could have politely told me that for the ideas that I have it would cost much more. I found out how much money these renovations and additions would cost when I got onboard with Angies List. They gave me some recommendations and I called a couple of people. One of the guys sat down and listened to everything over the phone and he told the price at this day and age. To my shock I did not realise how much. My point is that I am open to learning anything new. I did mention this to Mr. Lindsay when I finally got in touch with him and told him maybe that is the reason why he did not get in touch with me. However he denied it. He said that he just had to leave town. Regardless of that fact I think he should have communicated with me better. He did come out and listen attentively and took notes. He did walk through with me and he did listen to me. But he did not follow up. He was on time when he came out. To me professionalism means quite a bit. He was professional in terms of listening and taking notes of what needed to be done. But he was not a professional in terms of the follow up. I will not use him in the future.
Description of Work: I had a talk with R. L. Carpentry for renovating in terms of enlarging some areas in my house, adding on a garage and a living room.
