In May, 2015, Proctor Subaru installed a new clutch in our 2008 Subaru Impreza (mileage 127,329, cost $1600.21).  On August 26, 2015, Proctor performed a 135,000 mile check-up service, and a multi-point inspection, and found the transmission fluid level to be acceptable with no leaks (actual mileage 131,155, cost $552.46).  On August 31, 2015, Proctor installed brake rotors and again found the transmission fluid level to be acceptable with no leaks (mileage 131,310, cost $277.37)
On October 6, 2015 while in Georgia, the Subaru's manual transmission would not work and the car had to be towed to Subaru of Jacksonville.  Upon inspection, Jacksonville Subaru found regarding the "High Perf Gear Oil, 75W-90)", which was installed by Proctor as part of the May 2015 clutch work, that there was "No Fluid on Trans Stick."  We were also informed that there were metal shavings in the transmission.  As a result, Jacksonville Subaru had to replace the transmission (mileage 132,559, cost $5373.47).
We do not believe that it is acceptable that within 5,230 miles of having a new clutch installed by Proctor, and within 1,249 miles of the transmission oil's fluid level being found acceptable by Proctor with no leaks, that all the transmission oil would be empty and the transmission be ruined.  We feel that Proctor is responsible.  We spoke with Proctor's representatives without a satisfactory resolution and find it appropriate to share with other Subaru customers our experience.

Visited first to establish contact with the dealer. Jason, the and quot;Service Consultantand quot; was very friendly and helpful in orienting me to the dealership. I called a few days later to make an appointment. I liked the team effort as the manager also came to assist check-in of their morning clients.
I waited and after the courtesy check Jason sought me out and notified me of the bearing issue and offered to replace them right then, but did not pressure me to make a decision until I was ready. They did proceed to do the repairs and gave me a ride home, which I appreciated. I was told it would take 3 hours and the price would be under $400. I called after 4 hours and the price was $70 more than I expected. They offered to come pick me up and bring me back to the dealership to pick up my car.
The car was washed and ready. And they did a nice job washing it. I appreciated that.
Overall it was a good experience and I will return. But I recommend you get a written price quote before you proceed.

We purchased a 2010 Suberu Forester from Frank Johnson and it was the most pleasant car buying experience we have ever had. Good service from professionals.

After being towed to Proctor Subaru using my AAA I was told I should not drive my car until I had the recommended 3000 dollar repair.

The service manager told me that when he looked at my car it did not have a drop of water in it and if he were me he wouldn't even drive it home. He said If I HAD to drive it, (couldn't afford the repair) I should keep gallons of water in my car and stop frequently to fill it. and quot;You really need to park it until you have this repair done.and quot;

I still have those gallons of water in my car over 18 months later - have not added a single drop. I also still have my $3000. My car did not need anything except new belts.

I knew that I had a broken belt because the tow truck driver warned me - and quot;Don't let him sell you anything but belts. One of your parts that is designed to wear out, wore out.and quot; (I believe it was and quot;car doctorand quot; towing or something like that. I wish I could remember....LOVE THEM)

I paid Proctor Subaru for my belts and nothing more. I will never return. I will always drive a Subaru, but NEVER one from Proctor.

They are wonderful. They are always perfect. Subaru has a service schedule and I just take it in and they do it and I pay it. They have snacks in the waiting area, which makes it even better. I'll be using them again tomorrow.
