They were amazing... very easy to speak with, seem extremely honest, seem to know cars well and prices seem fair. I will definitely return.

I was referred to Matt at Pioneer Auto by a family member. When I went by the shop for a quote they were very friendly and professional. They promply checked out my 2002 Suburban and gave me a quote. I dropped the car off for repairs the next day. It was completed on time and within the quoted price.
As a touch of class, when I picked up my truck, it was washed and cleaned. A few days later I checked under the hood and even the engine had been cleaned. It looked brand new. Nice touch!
Very impressed! Would recommend to friends and family.

I've been using this mechanic since 2008 and have had only positive experiences. The owner and primary mechanic, Jim Lovallo, is a shoots-from-the-hip kind of guy - honest, straight forward and reliable. His office staff is always friendly, happy to do pick up and drop off service, and they always call you back the same day you've drooped off your vehicle, usually within a few hours. I've never waited more than that for their phone call to deliver an estimate. I really fell like, when my truck is at his shop, Jim treats it like he's taking care of his own vehicle, it's that level of attention and personal investment. He always finds me the best deal on parts, never charges me more than is reasonable for labor - and he even does complimentary interior detailing, which is a nice touch, I think. (It's irritating to get your car back from the shop, only to put your hands on a dirty steering wheel or see grease stains on your interior or seats. That's never happens to me at Pioneer.) My last visit to the shop was to take my fiancé's Nissan Altima to be diagnosed; it was behaving mysteriously, with strange, jerking motions upon acceleration. Jim figured out it was a minor problem: one of the spark plugs had gotten water in it, somehow. We showed up unexpectedly, but he worked us in quickly, and had us fixed and on the road within a half an hour.

Brought my car in around 8:30 am, complaining of noisy brakes. They promised to check it over and call with an estimate. They called about an hour later, saying that I needed new front brake pads and rotors and that it would cost between $200 and $250 and that they could work it in that day. I gave my OK and they called back in the early afternoon, saying they'd finished their work. I picked up my car after work and to my surprise they had washed and vacuumed the car. The brakes are now quiet and work well. Pioneer is a small outfit, with only three people - a clerk, the owner/head mechanic, and a younger mechanic. They are very friendly and competent and are willing to work with your schedule. Some weeks later one of my tires was making a 'thumping' noise so I stopped by Pioneer on my way to work, intending to leave it for them to check out but the owner quickly jacked up my car and found a screw in my left, front tire. He repaired the tire on the spot, chatting the whole while. I was on my way inside of ten minutes at a cost of about $12.00 I don't know how they are with engine problems, but for brakes and tires, and probably more, I've found my new mechanic! They're great.

I haven't used them recently. My partner still uses them till the present day and I would use them if I ever needed them. The price was reasonable. I would highly recommend him. He is a great guy and he is done a lot of stuff for me over the years. My car blew up on the interstate and had to call him and he took it apart and told me what it would take to fix it. He stored it for me until I could get a new car. I can say that they are my friend.

They have worked on all of our cars and are just great. I had to have my car towed in one night and was able to call him at his house and make arrangements. My partner still uses them, but I don’t since I have bought a new car that is under warranty.
