NRG did a great job on our new deck and converting our screen porch to a beautiful vinyl sunroom. It is safe to say one if not both of the new spaces are used daily! It is a great addition and allows us to use the space in the FL heat!! @nrgindustries

They actually were not available to do this job but the referral they gave me did an excellent job!! So I credit NRG for not just saying "No we can't do that". They were great and the referral called us immediately and they did the job within days.

I am really disappointed in this company. I have had two House’s remodeled on the outside and spent many thousands of dollars with them. The reason I have used them are the products and quality of work preformed were great and I was very happy to have a extremely long warranty. Being a contractor myself with a very high end client base, I have referred hundreds of my customers to them over the past 20 yrs. I will never refer another customer of mine and will never use this company again after being talked to so rudely by the owner William Strickland. The problem started with us calling about repair work to our sun room they built. After 1 year of trying to get someone out to look at the corrosion appearing on the wall attached to my back deck. We took pictures and sent them to bill, he stated that we must have used chemicals to clean our deck causing the problem. I assured him I did not uses chemicals and that it was only happing were they wrapped the aluminum around my pressure treated wood. He stated it would not cause a chemical reaction with pressure treated wood and he was not fixing it. I then said ok I need to get it fixed anyway, even being disappointed. I had other work to do at the house siding damage and a few other things. We called back and they sent a guy josh out to look at putting a new deck down and I showed the area of the room were it was falling apart corroding. He stated they should have never wrapped the aluminum around the PT deck it will cause a chemical reaction and fall apart. So the owner Bill gives me a call back and says Josh is a great employee butt has a 10 th grade education , and he can assure me that he owns 100 percent of his company and will not fix the issue and he would prefer that I call someone else. WELL I did and they all agree it is your company’s fault and you should have taken care of the minor issue and never put aluminum around PT wood. I can’t believe the way you treat your customers. I can promise you I have never treated mine that way I would have done the other work and had my guys fix the sorry workmanship. Oh yea I didn’t even ask you to do it for free, I said I would pay your estimate On the bill cause I’m in a bind and needed it done. Then the rude comment came. I really don’t want to fix your problems. GET SOMEONE ELSE. What kind of a customer service is this. I will never refer your company again. Stay away people!!!! ONE more thing, I would never talk about my employees that way, can’t believe anyone works for you!!!

I have now seen for myself why NRG has maintained its reputation for excellence throughout its many successful years in business. Exceptional service from my first phone inquiry to completion of the job and afterwards. Thorough explanation of the work to be done and the steps that were being taken along the way to achieve the best result for my older house, which in my opinion was a bit overdue for the work that it needed. Helpful advice, and also suggested and implemented a positive and very noticeable change to the trim at the front of the house, without changing the terms of the original contract. Now the exterior siding and trim is back in great shape and front of the house is more attractive than it has ever been. (got a compliment from a passerby the very first day). The quality of work was outstanding. And surprisingly, they are even pickier than I am about making sure that everything they do is done exactly right and with precision. Couldn’t be happier with the experience and the way my house looks. It was a pleasure to work with the Stricklands and their staff at NRG. I recommend them to anyone who needs work done in their area of expertise and I would welcome the opportunity to work with them again myself.

It went well and looks much better. We used the existing frame that we had. They had to clean out corrosion inside the frame, but were able to use it. We were pleased.

I got the window upgraded from galaxy windows to hurricane, wind resistant sun windows. I replaced all the windows with the hurricane protection, sunblock protection. They were good. I remember thinking when the wind starts blowing this time, it won't be a gap for them to blow through.

We found NRG to be extremely professional, responsive and accommodating. Renovations are always stressful, but they did their best to help us with the logistics and manage our expectations. They were diligent about making corrections until we were satisfied. We are very happy with the end result.

I had an estimate for a screened room from another local company which is well-regarded but did not proceed because I didn't think the "add on" style they suggested would look good with my modified A-frame house (the center peak is 12 foot with clerestory windows underneath).  I spotted a sunroom in an NRG advertisement that had a roofline that looked similar to mine and contacted NRG Industries.  The owner, Mr. William Strickland, and his son, Razzie, visited my home and suggested that instead of a screen room that I might prefer the three-season room with screens plus vinyl glass windows (keep out seasonal pollen, use during rain, etc.)  They sent an estimate via email, and their showroom representative, Laura, made arrangements for me to visit two local homes that they had added rooms to.  The first was a glass sunroom with a heat/AC unit and the second was a three season room with screens and vinyl glass windows which had a ceiling fan.  This made my decision much clearer.  I decided on the room with screens and vinyl glass windows -- and after deliberating, enlarged the size from the original estimate.  Each request I made by email was quickly answered.  Mr. Norton did the concrete work and his team was quick and professional.  The room itself took awhile to complete because everything was custom ordered.  Mr. Strickland had a plumber move a hose bib from the back wall of my house to an outside corner of the new room, and I had the electrician put two additional electrical outlets on the outside wall.  We had a problem with a roof leak but foreman, Josh, and his crew located it and there has not been a leak since (I held off on putting down indoor/outdoor carpet until we were sure everything was secure).  The room is wonderful and I am out there every day.  I had been concerned that adding on to the back of the house would make the inside of the house darker but it does not - probably because the new room is basically all windows.  I am so pleased with this addition even though the cost of the original estimate took me by surprise.   Everyone who has seen the room is very impressed and I know it's added value to my house.  It was a pleasure working with Mr. Strickland and all of his work force, and I am happy to give NRG Industries the highest rating.

Installation was exceptional and professional except the final completion with landscaping.  The grass used was of poor quality and is mostly rotting away in certain areas. Probably will have to completely redo landscaping again There was serious draining issue unnoticed for six months that was fixed with out cost but some minor consternation that NRG handled. Also the garage building had three pieces of vinyl siding came off at different times due to strong winds and storms.  NRG fixed immediately.  The pool and spa sundeck area is exceptional and has met our needs for exercise and relaxation during winter and summer!!! With NRG oversight the Salvo Pool and Spa did an exceptional job and I still use Salvo Pools to maintain the pool area!!! There have been little to no problems with that area.  The garage itself is my "man Cave" where I do my hobbies like reloading and repairing electronic equipment.  The office area ended up becoming a rec and exercise room with antique stereo equipment like 8 track/cassette/reel to reel and old Kenwood amplifier.  Both the garage and rec room have A/C and heating for year round use.  Since I am retire this is my work and play area.

Overall I am very happy with the installation results although a slight cost overrun due to my changing requirements and only disappointed in the landscaping area.  NRG I would give excellent rating but suggest that they hire better landscaping sub contractor who is really interested in doing good customer service.

The entire experience was top-notch from beginning to end. I had been working with another local company for weeks. The people there never contacted me unless I contacted them first, so every time I asked for something -- an estimate, an answer to a question, and so on -- they said they'd get back to me, but didn't until I called again. Because it was dragging on so long that it was putting the work on my house behind schedule, I called NRG to see if they could do better. William Strickland, the owner, was out the next day to look at the existing doors, exactly when he said he would be there, and he provided me with an estimate by the end of the day. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and he took the time to do research on a new line of doors that he told me were of very high quality but would be less expensive than other options. He told me how long it would take for the doors to get in, and it turned out that they were actually available a week earlier than expected. During the time I was waiting for the doors to come from the manufacturer, I had a couple of questions, and he always was available when I called or else he called back almost immediately. He generally knew the answer to my questions, but if he didn't, he found out and called me back.
On the day of installation, his installers were here when they said they would be here, and William showed up for an hour or so to make sure everything was going as planned. The installers were highly skilled. They worked quickly and did an excellent job. They were also careful to ask questions and make sure that they were doing the job exactly how I wanted them to do it. The doors themselves were of very high quality and exactly as described. One problem appeared with the doors a week after installation -- because of a manufacturing flaw, a bit of the finish pulled off on one handle when some painter's tape was removed. William responded very quickly when I called. The local representative of the door company was at my house the next day, looked at the handle, agreed there was a problem, and ordered a replacement.
Bottom line: I have worked with many different contractors over the years -- and many just in the past few months as we have been renovating our family room -- and I have never been more pleased with one than I am with NRG. Similarly, I've left a number of reviews on Angie's List, and this is the best I have written. NRG does far more than replace doors and windows -- they will build or renovate entire rooms, including kitchens and sunrooms. When it is time to do more work like this, I will certainly be calling NRG again.

After my first call, the owner was every quick to meet me on-site.  He measured and then things went; very smoothly.  Used a two man crew.  One of the installers was clearly the most experienced and the other was still in the learning stage.  They both worked hard and steadily. The resulting looks very good.  I would recommend this company and tamp;on

It would take too long to share all of the awful things they did. Here are a few: (1) They were doing two bathrooms, total renovations. They pulled an electrical permit for one bathroom. City inspector came, inspected electrical work for bathroom one, and on the way out, he walked past half-gutted bathroom two and asked "Where's the permit for this bathroom?" No permit. He looked at the work, and said it was not up to code. They had to redo it. After they redid it, the NRG worker complained to me, "It wasn't that bad. He only made us redo it because we didn't have a permit." (2) They tell you upfront that they use their own experienced, reliable employees, not subcontractors. Then they sent nothing but subcontractors. They say that they don't use prefab vanities; they have a cabinetmaker who makes high quality stuff. Then they tell the subcontractor to build the vanity from a kit. He puts everything out on the floor, and asks me: "Do you know how all this fits together?" He puts it together, it looks all crooked. Then they bring it cabinetmaker to take it apart and rebuild it. He has to work around all the holes that the first guy drilled. I could go on and on. They used cheap metal pipes instead of PVC, which we have had replaced by other plumbers (who said, "Who put this stuff in?"). Big chunks of grout have fallen out, and we need to get someone in to do a lot of patching. There's plenty more, but I'm tired of remembering these clowns.
Response from NRG Industries Inc
"It is unfortunate that Mr. [member name removed] allowed five years to pass without notifying our office of his grievances. Had he notified us we would have been able to take a proactive stance and rectify the issues at the time of construction. It has been our experience that no one benefits, not the customer nor the company if we are unaware of issues when they occur. Upon seeing the review we contacted the homeowner immediately to better understand the issues which he states occurred during the time of installation. Our contract details a major renovation for Mr. [member name removed] in his master bathroom and his hall bathroom. The work to be done included total demolition of both bathrooms, custom shower doors, custom tile, custom tub, custom counter tops, new toilets, moving of shower drains, new fixtures, vanities, mirrors, sheetrock, and painting. According to Mr. [member name removed] review his first issue dealt with permitting, upon inspecting the file we see all plumbing to be performed on the job site was permitted and there was a final plumbing inspection passed by the city building inspector. The second issue was with the type of material used , the homeowner states we used “cheap metal pipes” metal does tend to cost more than PVC and again all the plumbing work passed building code and inspection by the city. Thirdly, NRG is privileged to have our own skilled employees some of them have been with us for nearly 20 years. On some of our job sites we do utilize licensed and insured reputable subcontractors who specialize in certain aspects of our remodeling projects. Our response to this review is as follows, it is difficult for any company to do something about a problem they are unaware of. Typically, If the workmanship is not up to a customer’s standard they notify us during the construction process so we can address any issues immediately. Unknowingly, we were paid in full at the completion of the project and the customer was unhappy. In this unfortunate situation, we heard nothing from him until 5 years after the completion of the project when an Angie’s List review was posted. NRG has been in business for 31 years and we can assure you performing substandard work and using substandard materials have not been the catalyst for our longevity. At the same time we can also assure you we like all other companies have made mistakes in the last 31 years of serving consumers. The difference between the two scenarios is learning from our mistakes by listening to our customers when occurrences arise, and working toward customer satisfaction that we strive for daily."
