Novey Animal Hospital

A seven-year old, very social cat, had been to many other hospitals (I move for my work and study) was almost killed by Novey. After vaccination, we took him home. He ran away from us, hid in the corners, vomited so bad, had swollen eyes, had diarrhea for 2 days, lost one pound in two days. Took him to an emergency room. They said the cat was misbehaved by Novey. Novey did not refund us. Threatened us to call police if we pursue any investigation.

We have been taking our pets to Novey Animal Hospital since 2008.  They are kind, compassionate, and thorough.  When one of our cats had an emergency a couple of months back, they were able to fit us in immediately.  The staff always is available to answer questions for us.  When one of our pets was in a fight and became ill, the vet offered to come in on Thanksgiving to do a recheck on his wounds after treating them two days prior.  We have seen all of the vets here, and each has gone above and beyond for our pets.  We cannot recommend their services highly enough.

I was traumatized by their aggressive tactics to add-on additional services. Instead of asking prior to my dog being neutered if we wanted the dental cleaning for $400 they called when the dog was on the operating table to ask if we wanted to add-on this expensive procedure. It was an after thought on their part and if they don't have enough interest in my pet to contact me prior when the neutering was scheduled well in advance to contact us then to discuss all procedures, rather than cherry picking add-ons when our pet is on the surgery table then I am not interested. I thought they were calling to tell me that our pet did well with his neutering surgery instead they were calling to ask if they could add on a $400 dental cleaning. I picked up our pet and cancelled the surgery and have not been back since nor will I ever return knowing that they don't think enough of us to go over a plan in advance.

DR. hill was attentive and sat down and the floor and played with my dog. She acclamated herself to him. He loved her.

My lab saw Dr. Tiffany Hall only, so this review applies to her, altho the office staff and vet assistants were all very good. Because my old lab and I moved often we have seen many vets, and Dr. Hall was among the very best. My dog was very fearful and Dr. Hall never insisted she be put on an exam table but instead we all sat on the floor during exams and treatments. She prescribed several pain medications for my dog's arthritis, which completely changed her behavior and I'm sure added at least a year of high-quality life. In that last year she didn't insist on costly bloodwork that we agreed wouldn't change the pain meds, so why do it? Finally, she came to our house for that final visit, and was very respectful, patient and kind. All vets should be like her, and I recommend her without reservation.

I got a second opinion and found out my Dog has arthritis of the spine and hips that does require regular treatment. It was always very hard to get in to see a Doctor when my Dog needed to be seen that day. The staff was rude on occasions. I changed Vets.

Everything in the office appeared clean and organized and we were taken into an exam room within a few minutes. The exam was performed and everything was explained to me. My dog is very scared of getting shots and Dr. Novey was patient and friendly.

I have always liked Dr. Novey, and she has helped me through an emergency with my dog with great attention. However, her front office is not always on top of things--It took many phone calls to get them to fax my dog's information to another vet. I had a very bad experience with one girl in particular, Ashley, who treated me like a criminal after I brought in a dog I found who turned out to have been stolen (found by microchip). My only concern was for the dog's well-being, but she was outright rude to me in front of her colleagues and other clients. Her impertanance has caused me not to use this vet in the future.
