The two electricians arrived early and did the job in a professional manner. I believe they are good at what they do. I will definitely hire Meeks in the future.

It went very well. I did not believe that this would be possible without tearing the walls out but the electrician found a path that required only putting a small hole for the receptacle in the bonus room. Afterwards they did a very thorough job of cleaning the job site.

The  person who answered the phone was pleasant and was able to give us an appointment fairly quickly.  The above is what happened when we had a ceiling fan worked on and repaired.  It was the switch that was falling apart that was the problem not the fan. It was then that we found that all the other switches in the house were disintegrating.  Probably inferior plastic they were made in china. We also had two outlets that wouldn't work as well.  They found the issue it was a circuit breaker that we didn't know existed.   Anyway,  we were extremely pleased with the job that was done. The service man even went out and got  additional switch plates that matched ours.  Above and beyond the call!  Meeks is now our Electrical Company!

We signed up for the $39 electrical house audit.  We had expected Meeks at 8am but they called before 8:30am to say they had to work on another project that needed their immediate attention that day and that they'd be out @ 3pm. Two representatives did show up @ 3pm.  They were friendly.  We thought that an electrical house audit meant that a Meeks' electrical auditor would visit every room in the house (and outside of the house) to test the light switches, outlets, etc. for possible problems.  That didn't occur. No checklist was used. Instead, we were asked what we needed for them to check.  They checked our circuit breaker and limited their audit to the areas we pointed out to them where we already had concerns.  They didn't check the attic but we don't know if that's part of an electrical audit.  We did have to ask them to recheck a couple of outlets that they'd tested too quickly in one room because we knew they were faulty.  Upon repeating their tests, they found that both outlets were faulty and needed attention.  We just don't know if we may have electrical problems in areas not checked by Meeks.  We believe the $39 would have been better spent by being applied to the cost of fixing the electrical problems we already knew we had and pointed out ourselves to Meeks.  We didn't need to pay an outside provider $39 to confirm we had those electrical issues!

Inspection was OK. But I do not understand why the inspection normal price would be $199.00. I think the $40 price for the inspection is fair.
There was one minor problem which the inspector did not fix. I was called later to be told that fixing it would cost $125. I believe that is what they charge so the price should be fair. To fix the problem they only have to replace an outlet that is not working, noting more. Hence, I asked them for a written report of the inspection, which I am allowed to given I pay for the inspection, but haven't received yet. I'm sure it will come in the mail soon, but they should be prepared to give the report of the inspection right away, so that I can go to other electric companies or even a handyman.

He was informative and clearly interested in providing the requested service and did not attempt to sell me services that were not needed! His inspection was thorough and complete. I could not have been more pleased with every aspect of the service provided. The only thing I was not delighted with was the fact that Meeks failed to provide a scheduled appointment for this service, but rather just called and asked if they could come 15 minutes before they arrived. It was simply fortuitous that I happened to be available at that time on that day. At least 24 hrs notice would have been welcomed and  appropriate, however, I appreciate that  they were likely overwhelmed with requests for this inspection service, especially at the price. I imagine that the 'spur of the moment' service call was in effort to get me served as expeditiously as possible. Nevertheless, I will definite use Meeks Electrical whenever I need an electrician!

They were very prompt in responding to my request and arrived exactly when they said they would.  The electrician checked the electrical work in the home and found no wiring problems.  The house was built in 1996 and some of the switched buzz and pop when a light is turned on.  Knowing nothing about wiring it was a concern for me.  When he said that there was no problem with the wiring, that some of the switches were beginning to fail due to age and use, I felt relieved.
While he was at the house I took the opportunity to ask a few questions about installing a ceiling fan in the breakfast nook where there is only a light fixture now, and installing a pendant light over the sink where there is no fixture now.  He checked to see if the light fixture box could be used for the fan and told me it wasn't the sort to hold the weight of the fan.  He went on to tell me what type of bracket to get at the hardware store if I wanted to do it myself.  He moved on to the pendant light issue and came up with a solution regarding wiring for the light that I thought was genius.  He really thought outside the box.  Since he came for the house inspection, not an estimate for work I offered him some cash to cover his time and his patience in answering all of my questions.  He refused the cash and said he was happy to oblige.  Within days I received an email from the owner of the company with an estimate for the work I had asked about.  I will be contracting with Meeks and Sons to do the work in the kitchen, and for other electrical work in the home.

I found the Meeks technician to be very efficient, thorough, and professional. He conducted a complete inspection of my home, took his time, and did not recommend unnecessary repairs. I highly recommend this company.

Personable and professional, Matt the technician quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. We were impressed by Meeks and Sons responsiveness (next morning service), the caliber of their technician and the courteousness of their office staff. This is the second time we've used Meeks, the first several years ago, Highly recommended.

Everything went fine-- they arrived on time and were professional.  They also gave me some tips on various things around the house that will help me out.

The work went very well.  The crew arrive as scheduled and went right to work  The first  bored through the exterior wall and ran the wires up the wall and into the breaker box. They than excavated to bury the cables.  They hand dug places where there was a chance of hitting utilities and all of this was done despite the utility company refusing to mark all but the gas line.   I was also impressed by how they were able to miss the maze of sprinkler piping throughout the yard.    At the end of the day the cable was installed and connected.   The next day a crew came and cleaned up. I saved on this job by having the repair of the driveway done seperatley but the cuts and excavation was done presicely and with in a manner to reduce the work needed to repair.     A great bunch of fellows and I could not have asked for a better job at a great price.  Would use them again in a heart beat.  If the crew is at you place all day they appreciate cookies and Sonny's BBQ.

I have been using them for 30 years. They are very good. They are very honest, thorough, confident and friendly. They do not sell things that I do not need. They did not bill me on an hourly basis. They billed me for the whole project and their pricing was very reasonable. They responded very quickly.
