The guest bathroom remodel included removing the old tub insert, installing the new tub (which I purchased) with faucet and shower fixtures, electrical, ceiling above the tub, and the tile surround for the new bathtub. The tile surround installation was included in the invoice and contract with Mr. Bennett. Initially the tile man forgot to put the designated niche mold into place (found it on our front steps) and constructed his own. The bottom tile of the niche was uneven so the shampoo and conditioner and soap would fall out of the niche onto our feet.. The tile man's assistant was not vetted and had a "Violent Warrant out for his Arrest" and we were robbed about $25,000.00 worth of jewelry, medication, check book and credit card! The tiler's assistant was caught and is in jail still pending sentencing. He had robbed other homes before ours. Mr. Bennett was notified and in the loop of both the uneven niche construction as well as the jewelry, medication, check book, and credit card robbery . His plumbers agreed upon the poorly constructed niche upon inspection. Jim Bennett Plumbing agreed to send a different tiler to repair the niche problem (of course not the same tiler/assistant who robbed us). No one ever came back after 4 months and repeated phone and text calls. Toes being sore from falling bottles, I finally hired another tile man myself, had the niche problem fixed and sent Jim Bennett Plumbing the invoice. Even though we paid for the job which was agreed to, he has yet to reimburse us for the repair of the faulty tile niche. Neither he nor his insurance company are accepting any responsibility for the unvetted assistant tile man and the egregious home robbery while in our home doing the tile. My home owner policy covered only $1,000.00 for jewelry (a loss of $24.000.00 due to Bennett Plumbing vetting negligence). When we investigated the tile man's assistant, he had a very long rap sheet documented in the computer so it would have been very easy for Jim Bennett to evaluate the tile man's assistant who he sent and allowed entry into out home.. I had high hopes for Bennett plumbing. However, because of his lack of reimbursement for a faulty tile job, thereby requiring another tile contractor to correct the problem; and the fact that I cannot trust his employees ever again, would not be able to recommend his company.. Mr. Bennett did lower the invoice amount from the original contract since he did not complete (electricians, ceiling repair etc) the installation and remodel, ( especially since we no longer felt confident in his choice of personnel ). I finished the project by subbing the completion of the work . My husband and I can no longer recommend Jim Bennett Plumbing, The quality and standing by one's workmanship seems to have disappeared somewhere in his 50 years of business. Such a sad and tragic situation....for all of us. PS., Of less significance was his plumbers put in a new faucet in our other bathroom's sink vanity as the older faucet was dripping. Unfortunately something wasn't tightened and when the water was turned back on water was squirting out all over the back bathroom causing my daughter and granddaughter to scream in anguish. The plumber promptly turned the water off. My daughter mopped up the mess, and the installation was finally completed properly. I don't think I ever mentioned this incident to Mr. Bennett. The robbery and ill installed niche seemed to be more pressing issues...

Job was a complete remodel. They completed the entire job from beginning to the end in a matter of weeks, with good coordination of punctual staff. Job included whole home instant on demand water heater system. Job completed is beautiful and professionally done.

terrible. no effort toclean up any of their mess. left everything on floor and adjacent tub. spilled glue on floor, still there. their van leaked oil on my driveway and made no effort to clean up. took old shower valve with them without asking. would have liked cartridge for backup for my other shower. pan leaked and i had to spend all the next morning with them to do it again. will never call them again.

They were very thorough because they had problems. They also made sure they weren’t messy. They cleaned up their mess. The cost was more than we thought it would be, they were here 2 hours and they charged by the hour. So, that’s what bumped up the cost. I don’t think it’s the best, but I don’t know. He didn’t leave until he was sure it was cleared, he actually said, “I don’t want to be called back!”

He did install a gas fireplace and then repaired it. Then also I had a leaky faucet and a shower that they repaired as well. He has been here for two or three different visits.

The installation was perfect and added warmth to our living room, especially with the cold snap. Inspection revealed that it is up to safety codes. However, there was a delay in the inspection, but the owner, Jim Bennett, made sure that we were well served with the proper paperwork. He was extremely apologetic in his assurance that everything would be taken care of. He is good on his word and proves to be an ethical businessman.

Just want to let you know Demetrius did a fantastic job! Very personable, knowledgable, fast, courteous, cleaned everything up so well and is a master craftsman getting that monster installed in our narrow bathroom!! Thanks so much! Did I mention he was not even phased by the tropical storm Colin over our house?!?!? What an asset he is to your organization! We never needed a plumber in all the years we have lived here- gives us peace of mind knowing we now have a great company we can rely on if we ever need to again!!!

Noting happened,  Tyrus, general manager, lives around the coner. I stopped him 10/20/15 as he was getting out of his car. Told him history, said someone would call tomorrow. Never recieved a call.
Response from Jim Bennett's Plumbing, Inc.

"Based upon the information on this review, it appears there is confusion between a plumbing need and HVAC (Air conditioning) need. A/C drain lines are serviced by A/C companies."

First, Tyrus who is the service manager came over and gave us an estimate of less than $300.00. No other company would come out to give an estimate; they would just give one over the phone. Bennett's scored points for that alone. Alex was the technician that arrived on time. He was very professional and nice. Once he removed the first toilet, he explained the problem and how the prior installation of the flanges were not done correctly by previous homeowners/builder. He completed the job under 2 hours and left the bathrooms exactly how they were before he arrived. Actually cost was $171.00

I used to go to Jim Bennett's Plumbing and they are good but, it is expensive. They have good people that do good work but it is just a little pricey. I was disappointed with the last visit because I had asked them to check the dish washer which he didn't do. So, he had to come back to look at it and I got charged again. If he had done it on the first trip, it would have been cheaper for me.

After sawing off garbage disposal now I have a leak under the sink and I don't know where it's coming from. I called the company and they told me I would have to call another provider and there was nothing he could do. Now there is stagnat water under my sink.
Response from Jim Bennett's Plumbing, Inc.

"We disconnected your garbage disposal as per your request. No sawing involved. The leak was caused by your dishwasher in an unrelated event. We have also came and showed you the problem and offered the fix. Please correct this misinformation and bad review."

So far so good. Technician showed up around 2:30-3:00 on Tuesday 4th as scheduled and attempted to fix the problem. The tech was professional and made an honest attempt to fix the problem. The tech said due to previous fixes and limited accessibility he wouldn't be able to fix the leak at that time and would talk with Jim Bennett about how to go about fixing the leak. I received no response for three days. I called my warranty provider to request a new plumber the customer service rep got Bennett's on the phone and convinced me to talk to them. It turns out the tech that attempted to fix my leak was injured on the job the next day. Never-the-less Jim Bennett told me that he had spoken with the tech and was sorry for the miscommunication. He said that the shower was essentially unfixable and would start leaking again before long. He then tried to sell me an entirely new tile shower for somewhere in the neighborhood of $1800.00 and that I should try to call and see what my warranty provider would pay towards a new tile shower.

I will never use them again. We were remodeling our bathroom and we had some problems that we couldn't  handle so we called them out. So they said while they were here they would  go ahead and do additional work or else we were going to have additional problems. They gave us some good information and everything went fine. They said when we were ready to ave everything hooked up again we could give them a call and they will finish it for us. Couple of days before we were ready to tile, everything that they did in the bathtub broke and a lot of water came out. We turned the water off, called them back and they sent someone out. He said something was plastic when it should have been metal and that he would go ahead and fix it and gave us a $200 t o$300 bill. So i said we shouldn't  be billed for something they didn't do right in the first place. One of the representatives called and said they don't do things wrong and that incident jut happened and we needed to pay for it.
