They were prompt, honest and very reasonable. They could have easily replaced the whole system and charged us for it and we wouldn't have know any better. My daughter is off at college and knows little about automotive repair so they did a great thing not taking advantage of her. I would give an A+ if I could.

Oil change was performed and a cracked fan belt was observed during the pre-trip inspection. The folks at Import Authority called to recommend having the fan belt replaced, which we authorized. No other maintenance issues needed attention (the dealer always says the engine & cabin air filters need changing). We would definitely recommend Import Authority to our family, friends and neighbors. Very satisfied with the service and care received.

We have relied on Import Authority for  our Subarus, for a very long time. I've lost track of the years, but it must be at least 15 years, maybe 20.  They are trustworthy - both technically competent and honest.  They charge a fair rate for their time, which means they are not cheap.  However, they do not try to push unnecessary repairs, and stand behind their work.
When the cars were on warranty,  I used the local Subaru dealer's service center. They charged as much, but overall came across as less knowledgeable.  The service manager turned over several times, and one of them pushed work I felt was unnecessary or premature.  When the cars came off warranty I switched to Import Authority, and have been happy ever since.
One of the great things about them is  the friendly, family-like atmosphere, both between the people who work there and toward customers.  It's a bit like the show "Cheers", where the them song describes the bar as "where everybody knows your name".
In this most recent case, I had been living with an AC problem for years, which caused the AC not to come on some times when I started the car.  Generally I would come on if I shut off the engine and restarted.  The Import Authority folks said it would be costly to diagnose, and might involve replacement of the electronic control module and/or compressor.  They recommended that I postpone work on this until the problem got worse, and until it happened frequently enough that they could reproduce it.  It finally reached that point, so I took it in.  They kept it several days, and did a lot of diagnostic work.  They did not need to replace the ECM or the compressor.  It turned out to be a problem with a rotational speed sensor on the AC compressor.  Most of the cost was for their time.  The problem is really fixed.

This is one of the best auto repair shops I have ever been to, probably the best. I highly recommend it to anyone in the Tallahassee area who needs a trustworthy and skilled auto repair shop. Warren and his crew are always very professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. They suggest the least expensive repairs first. This time, they found the problem with my car's air conditioning quickly and it has worked perfectly since then. They also let you know every step of the way so there aren't any surprises. Fantastic service.

I have done business with them for probably 15-10 years. They have absolute integrity. They will tell you what doesn't need to be replaced, they will tell you what the invoice of the spare car is and they will tell you what to replace to make your car perfect. Their price was reasonable. They only draw back for refusing them is that so many people like them you will have to make an appointment. We have our car covered by warranty. We always go back to them for advice.

These folks are very professional and do good work. Over the past 4 months, I've had them do extensive work to my 2005 VW Beetle, and they do what is necessary without trying to sell you things you don't want or need. The only issue I have is that they have only one technician that works on German vehicles. So, be prepared to be without you car for a few days or wait for an appointment if you drive a German car. Other than that, I have nothing but praise for them.

Amazing. Truly amazing. From a cascade of major setbacks, Import Authority emerged triumphant-- my car is better than ever.
I'm from out of town, and when my son said he suspected a head gasket problem with my '09 Nissan Versa because coolant was mixing with the oil, I checked Angieslist as well as recommendations from friend and brought the car to IA. Sure enough, it was the head gasket. And the cylinder. And the thermostat. One of those times when the problem emerges in stages, as layers are peeled back.
Fortunately, I had a comprehensive extended warranty (worth every penny). Still, you need time and an advocate to process it-- Warren is now my hero. He spent countless hours describing and documenting the problem with my company, and ensured that every step of the way the work was done with skill and efficiency. At the front desk, Chip and Clinton were always professional and courteous even under pressure as the setbacks kept coming.
Years ago, I had had a horrendous experience with a previous mechanic (that car is kaput, but I'm still paying for it), so I was understandably worried about getting ripped off. I am happy to report that my faith in humanity is completely restored, thanks to Import Authority. Those guys are fantastic.

My son brought the Corolla into Import Authority to fix the clutch. I had read the Angies' List reviews and I was looking for a shop that could do the job right the first time, since the car had been serviced somewhere else and the problem was not fixed. Import Authority had very good reviews which lead me to believe they would do the job correctly. My son picks up the car from the shop and as soon as he drives it he calls me to tell me nothing has been fixed. The shop had replaced the clutch master cylinder and charged us $450. I immediately called the shop and talked to Chip who was very polite and told me to have my son bring it in again after the weekend. On Monday I get a call from Chip and he tells me the entire clutch is gone and needs to be replaced. I ask him why the car was given back to us in disrepair and he tells me the technician who fixed it said it was fine. Now I have to pay another $940 to fix the car. I feel I should have been given a larger discount on the second repair since the first repair did nothing. I can't give this shop an A rating if they have to perform repairs by trial and error until they get it right. If your going to charge top dollar, Do It Right The First Time.

Great. Called for an appointment. They had someone to drive me home while I waited for the car to be repaired. It worked perfectly afterwards.

They are pretty near perfect. They are really knowledgeable, they are competent and they play classical music. The people are absolutely great. Like I've said, they are perfect.

They are extremely good, they have always done high quality work over the 11 years that I have used them. When I take my car in I never worry about price, as they are extremely trustworthy and I know they wouldn't try to overcharge me.

Called around, and their estimate was lower than many, though not cheap. Reason for lower cost was that they did not automatically replace the idlers and water pump, though they said they would if they appeared to be worn.
I had used them before, and they have always done good work for the money: neither too high nor too low.
They have had factory trained mechanics from the Honda dealership in the past (not sure about now).
