Peter Ford was a pleasure to work with. He came out and measured for the windows I needed and told me they would be in within 4 to 5 weeks. When they came in he promptly called me and set up the install for the following week. He and his men came out and installed the windows over 4 days and were very professional and clean. The work was excellent so I asked him to remodel one of my bathrooms. Again I was very happy with the results and his price was excellent as I had had a couple other proposals from other contractors. Not only was the work very efficient and of high standards, but it was seamless as he took care of all the small details and get me educated on the process and what to expect. I will be moving forward with a kitchen remodel in the future and only want him to do the work. I find it disheartening to read the bad reviews about he and his company on hear. I understand the construction process and that delay's happen. I highly recommend Peter Ford and have referred him to friends of mine that need work done!

Horrible! I ordered my new doors in April 2017. As of October 3rd the job is not complete. Avoid like the plague. I got weird stories about delivery to a store near Panama City Florida, which is 125 miles away, to problems with his post office box. And when I attempted on my own to resolve the issue with Therma Tru, the door manufacturer, they told me I had to drive the 125 miles to Panama City to resolve the issue. Never, EVER again. And this guy still claims I owe him money!

After receiving the estimate on March 27, 2013, we emailed Mr. Ford (on the same date) indicating which projects we wanted to move forward with. In his reply, Mr. Ford indicated he would try to get the flashing done the following week (we had expressed the importance of avoiding further water damage) and would order the glass for the windows. No mention was ever made of when he would begin the work on the rails.
It took 3.5 weeks for Mr. Ford, to install the flashing (April 22, 2013). During those 3.5 weeks, we had 4 torrential rain storms causing further water damage to occur within my home. During the installation of the flashing, damage was done to my home's siding (hardy board). Mr. Ford was not proactive in informing me that damage was done to my home during the installation. It took Mr. Ford a week to come back and repair the damage but to date he has not painted the repair.
Regarding the windows, Mr. Ford arrived with the window glass on 04/22/2013. Upon arrival, he informed us that the glass pieces ordered were too large for the windows and would have to be ordered again. To date, the glass has not been installed and my last communication with Mr. Ford was 6 days ago.
Regarding the porch rails, after no progress or even an indication of intending to perform the service quoted and engaged, I informed Mr. Ford that we would be looking to engage an alternate contractor for the repair/replacement of the porch rails.
I will edit this review if and when the pending services are performed.

Pete Ford and his workers arrived on time and began setting up their tools. Next, the blinds in the bay window were removed and  the living room floor and doorways to adjoining rooms were covered with tarps to contain dust. The old heavy window was quickly removed and small repair was made to the supporting framework of 2 x 4s. The new window was installed without a hitch. I had  questions about construction techniques since I have done some remodeling projects myself. They all received through answers. On one occasion, I expressed some hesitation about one step of the installation plan. Pete immediately sensed this and changed the plan since it was a valid, if slightly more conservative, alternative. At completion, they cleaned the area, inside and out, and removed the old window. I examined the window and found a strip between the top of the window and the overhanging metal canopy that was not closed up. I only noticed it because I happened to be on the ground looking up and standing very close to the glass. Working on the ladder stand, it was easy to overlook. The gap varied from two to three eights of an inch in width and about two inches up under the lip of the canopy . Pete did not have a backing material to fill the gap on the wide end, so he came back two days later and finished sealing it.
