WOW! All I can say is that I HIGHLY recommend Dion Builders. From speaking to Yvette in the beginning to working with Bryce and Dave, it was an AWESOME experience. Wonderful customer service and they finished the project ahead of schedule. In the beginning, they did a survey and wrote up a pre-estimate that I thought was more than fair - in the end, the project was actually completed below the estimate price. They line item all costs out so that it is easy to understand and clear. They were up front with me about all of the work that was going to be done and lived up to their word on every detail. Speaking of detail, the paint job they did was impeccable - they were able to color match and blend the old with the new perfectly somehow. They went above and beyond. Overall Fantastic Experience! My family and I have become life long clients of Dion Builders! A+

Ed is very professional and detailed - planning every move and using computer assisted design to avoid any issues.

Our kitchen is beautiful; our deck redesign is beautiful; our bedroom wall is beautiful! However, the project manager did a poor job with woodwork, backsplash, and especially deck (He served as the carpenter). They messed up floor tile work and overhead lighting by not following plans carefully. I was out of town when this work was done; came home; and was upset. Mr. Dion argued with me that it was as I specified until I showed him the plans for tile placement (I wanted the least amount of grout possible and his people put in 1/4 inch grout.), and the lighting plan which his people really screwed up. He did add under-cabinet lighting to make up for the mistake rather than tearing down the whole ceiling and starting over. He was willing to redo the floor tiles, at our expense. They messed up on the tile backsplash as well, even though I left sticky notes all over the wall to indicate where the tile accents should go. (And the tiles for the accents were on top of the box of backsplash tiles.) The backsplash was installed with over an inch and a half space between the counter and the backsplash. I made them redo the whole thing. It ended up looking beautiful.
All this was the result of 1) the drunken project manager, which I reported to Ed Dion many times; and 2) Mr. Dion's failure to supervise properly and his failure to follow the plans.
In addition, the decking materials used were terrible. Most, if not all the 2 X 4s used were of so poor quality that one cannot walk on my deck without shoes because of the roughness and splinters (large and small). The top of the railing and the handrails are so rough that one cannot use them to balance oneself going up or down the steps or to lean on the railing. I complained many times, but Mr. Dion kept saying over the years that we should live with it for a time, and then he would consider whether to fix or replace. He did neither. This part of the construction is so upsetting, along with Mr. Dion's attitude, that I have given up. Instead, I hope our deck wears out quickly, and I hope we can afford to have it replaced.
The project manager also messed up the insides of the cabinet over the stove, and Mr. Dion had him redo it and provided new shelves at his expense.
With all that was so problematic, our kitchen is beautiful, mostly due to the great Susan Grabowski of Tallahassee Kitchen Center, Mike Munroe of Mays-Munroe, and Lucy Baer of Baer Haus Design. They were truly the stars of our kitchen remodel and worth every penny.
On the plus side for Mr. Dion, he did come overI a few times to attend to little things like moving my refrigerator out, so I could clean. It was very tight, and I was worried that I would destroy the cabinetry surrounding the fridge. Mr. Dion also did an excellent job redesigning our kitchen in the first place, so it would fit into the footprint and use every inch of space. He also told me that he had fired the project manager/carpenter after our renovation. All in all, I love my kitchen, and am sad that I don't feel I could use Ed Dion again.

They replaced a rotted wall. They also added new steps and a railing. They did good work and I was very pleased.
