 + -1 moreJeff, the Service Manager at Der Meister, was professional and immediately guessed what caused the problem and subsequently confirmed it with a computer check - it was a defective brake lamp switch. He obtained one via overnight delivery from a dealer (Tampa) and had it installed and ready for pickup mid-day of the day after I brought the car in to Der Meister. There is a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on the repair, rather than the shorter warranty one normally finds at auto repair shops. I am new in Tallahassee, and I was previously unable to find anyone else willing (and competent) to work on my Jaguar in Tallahassee. Since Der Meister is both willing and competent, it appears I will be able to keep my Jaguar well-maintained locally. Der Meister's labor charge is $96 an hour, but they only charged for 1.2 hours of work. I am a satisfied customer, who will return.
Description of Work: Diagnosed the reason for dashboard warning messages regarding rear brake lights and the cruise control system, which come on a few minutes after the car is started. The cruise control stops operating when the warning messages appear.

 + -1 moreI have not used them since they changed the ownership. They changed ownership last summer. I don't have a need for it at this point. They were the only mechanic in town that I trust. Their pricing was high. If the local dealer could not figure out what was wrong they would send it to him.

 + 2 moreEverything went well with my service. The only negative is that they are not open on Saturdays or Sundays. So I couldn't pick my car up until Monday because they don't offer after hour pickup.
Description of Work: Recharged and inspected air conditioner on my '05 325i. Also checked some other concerns I was having with my car. Jeff was very knowledgeable and honest with me and I appreciated his candor.
