Critter Getter Termite & Pest Control

I've used them for many years and I'm satisfied with them. When I have a problem, they are available in between their scheduled times. They will come out with no extra charge. This is probably the only pest control that I have ever been satisfied with. I have a second home in Alabama and I do not have a reliable pest control service there.

This company seems to be run by one person, Tammy. She fails to answer phone or email messages most or all of the time. I've been lucky to catch her only a few times when I call. Once the person who answered the phone told me she was Tammy's sister.
Tammy always acts as if she had no idea I'd left any messages. She apparently keeps both an old and a new web site and blames that as one reason she has an erroneous email address online. She promises good and prompt service, but of the several attempts at appointments I've made over the 2 years I've tried to give her the opportunity to keep me as a customer, most have been miserable failures. The following has happened:

1. 1. The 1st person seemed competent but, I found out later when a truly competent person came, did not do a complete job.

1. 2. The followup appointment was to be the 1st person. He called to postpone to another date literally at the last minute, and never called or came. Tammy also never called to apologize or schedule someone else. Her excuse was that the day he postponed (actually it would have been a cancellation), was his last day before retiring!
3. 3. The 3rd appointment, Tammy sent a young person who seemed incapable of communicating and unable to perform the basic tasks. He clearly did not know the job and appeared completely ill at ease. When I later asked Tammy about him, she claimed that he was a guy who was just filling in that day and wasn't experienced!
5. 4. The 4th appointment, a seemingly real professional showed up and did the best job of all. She said he'd been with her the longest and I wouldn't be disappointed with his work. I wasn't. Why couldn't she have made sure all of her employees, WHO REPRESENT HER BUSINESS, be of the quality of this person?
7. 5. I've called and called and emailed and emailed so many times requesting followup service, and have been overall so disappointed, that I've tried to put it out of my mind. According to her publicity and comments, customers can have as many
   appointments as needed until the pest problem is resolved. She's never responded to my last several requests.

This business is rated A+ by the BBB. This rating is based on 0 (ZERO) reviews. I should probably post my own review there, because the rating is misleading.
I have a BITTER taste for this company, even though it claims to use the least harmful products to get rid of pests. I can't believe she's still in business! I'm disappointed for obvious reasons, but also because I prefer to support locally owned businesses. I guess I'll have to find a different one. :-(

After using this company for many years, I realized they had not reminded me that it was time for my annual pest control and termite service. I've called every number I can find and actually left a message on an answering machine or voice mail. I have gotten no response. This has been going on since mid-September. Now I am wondering if they have gone out of business and simply failed to call their customers or turn their contracts over to another provider. Regardless, I am now stuck with a fairly new termite control contract that is no good if I cannot get them to respond.

Overall, the experience was okay. They showed up, gave me an estimate, and followed up. Their price was more expensive than others, so I decided to go with another company.

The lost cat was in a strange neighborhood and was hiding out under peoples homes. She arrived the same day (That evening, actually) and set up 2 traps. The next day she brought out 5 more traps to increase the chances that we would catch him. By that night at 8pm, the cat was caught. Amazing!

They provide service inside and outside. We are pleased with the work they do, and will definitely use them in the future.

Good experience, solved the problem to our satisfaction at a reasonable price. We would call them again.

We have a yearly contract with them. They are great. They use organic pesticides that work. They do both the inside and outside of the house. When we have problems with ants and, of course we live in Florida so you always have roaches sometimes; they come right out and re-treat. We just love them; they are great. I will continue to use them.

Services include an annual complete treatment for insects rodents etc. This includes 1) indoor : all rooms and attic/crawl space) and outdoors: around base of walls, eaves, windows etc and outbuildings. If a problem arises once annual inspection and treatment is completed (i.e.a spider invasion) a single call prompts a follow-up treatment. Multiple follow-up calls during the year are handled promptly. We have used this company 5 plus years and are completely satisfied with their service. Have not yet had needed to require removal of snakes, gators or large furry creatures cannot comment on handling these problems.

We have used them in the past and I have always been pleased with them. Financially we don't have the money now, so we haven't been able to use them for about two years. At that time we paid for a year's worth and they came out on several occasions. I had a problem with ants, the tiny sugar ants, in my kitchen and they came out and took care of those. That happened twice. I have 6 children, so I like to use something that won't harm them in the house when it comes to trying to get rid of bugs. We didn't have any problems. Every time they came out and serviced us, we were pretty much bug-free for a year, except a couple of times when we had the sugar ant problem. I can't recall how much they charged us, but it seems like possibly for the whole year it might have been around $200.00 or $225.00. I am not sure if their prices have gone up. It was three years ago that we used them, but we used them prior to that. I used to call them every year, but financially we just have not had the money in the last two years. I would use them again in the future if I had the funds.
