Cricket tree service removed a very large red oak from my back yard. They showed up on time. Took our fence down in order to get the huge crane into the backyard taking care to do as little damage as possible to the grass and yard. They then ground the stump down so that we can't even tell that a tree was there. Afterwards they cleaned up the area and raked it so you can hardly tell that they were here. Then they put the fence back. Amazing. They also trimmed up some limbs from the oak trees that had branches hanging over our outside studio and removed two other oak trees from the front yard as well as trimming our mulberry tree away from the utility lines. They were courteous, hardworking, and took great care to make sure things were left in good condition after they left. I would definitely use them again.

Wonderful workmanship. My live oak looks better than it ever has in 30 years. Love it! Tree removal and large limb removal were performed perfectly. Cleanup was excellent with no damage done.Shannon and his crew did a wonderful job. Can not speak more highly of their workmanship. Arborist (David Causey) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would give them an A plus in everything!

I’ve used Cricket’s Tree Service previously and have always been satisfied, so when a very large Laurel Oak tree came down this week next to the house I called them right away. Laura in the office was extremely helpful and David came out to give an estimate the same day. The next day Cricket’s crew arrived early and got to work. I was especially impressed with the way they protected my new driveway so they could get their equipment in the backyard. They were able to cut up a huge tree trunk in no time and did a thorough job clearing up the debris and pruning the tall surrounding trees damaged during the fall. The huge, hollow stump was cut evenly low to the ground but high enough that it could be made into an interesting backyard planter. Everything was neatly piled in a convenient area by the road and picked up that afternoon, the driver even raked the area. I couldn’t ask for better service, and they were more than fair with the price.

It took Cricket 5 months from start to finish (removing trees; grinding stumps; haul away chips). They accused my disabled husband for the reason it took so long when, in fact, it was THEIR employee who misunderstood and the account manager (Dale) never called to verify what HIS employee said my husband told him. The owners ONLY cared about getting PAID, not ONCE apologizing. They blamed ME for wanting to get out of paying the balance due when, in fact, they were demanding payment before the job was even complete. They breached their contract and handled this in a very immature fashion. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THEM if you want to keep your sanity in check! Please email me ([email protected]) and I will forward my BBB complaint, Cricket's response and my reply. It's comical how immature these people are. This is NO over exaggeration and I can prove it.

Cricket's did an outstanding job. We had several huge oak trees hanging over our house and they had to bring in a 40 ton crane. The trees had to be taken down in pieces and not one branch hit the home or damaged the yard. They also went to great lengths to protect the yard, grass, and plants from damage by putting down plywood for there vehicles to drive on. Great JOB !!

Cricket's did their usual fine job, cleaning up as they went and leaving the yard looking better than when they started. They went out of their way to protect driveways, grass and plants from damage.

We used another company for another job, but we wished we would've used them.

I give them A's across the board. The price was good, others were quoting a few thousand more. 

They cleaned up everything. I didn't even realize they were here.

They were good. I told them to wait until I got home and they had to hold before I got home and I wanted to watch them but otherwise the work they did was excellent. The cost was reasonable. They responded to my request, they did their job excellently and everything was cleaned up at the end. It was a good job and I just wanted to see the tree come down.

Everything went beautifully.  My trees all look fantastic. Wonderful job of cleaning up.  They left my yard looking better than before. Crickets Tree Service amazed me with their knowledge, precision and work ethic.  Would recommend them highly to anyone. My grass now had enough sunlight to grow again and the limbs are no longer overhanging the workshop  Thank You Cricket's!!!

Great, I also used them many years ago and was worried about plants that surround the pine trees. Not one limb was broken.

Provider took out limbs from other areas around the house, leaving the main limbs that cover more than half of our deck and roof untouched.  It was a completely botched job. They also showed up at our house and greeted me, and then left the house when they were done without showing me their work!  I caught them getting into their truck and heading down the street. I called to have them come back and the owner said it would take 2-3 hours because they had to make it to the next job.  

They say that everything was written on an "estimate" that still has not been produced and that the tees that we needed to be worked on were not ones that they could do. This was all explained after the fact, we saw no estimate.

They are not only bad workers, but they are completely disorganized, They forgot what time they were supposed to show up. Their supervisors seem never to be available and they have a million excuses as to why they operate this way. They talk to you about "other jobs" they need to get to while dealing with you the customer.

It was a complete loss and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

From start to finish, the entire operation was a model in highly professional workmanship and crew coordination.  They arrived on time, accomplished their tasks very smoothly, and then cleaned-up after themselves with great thoroughness.  In addition, the Cricket team was exceedingly flexible. Their initial work-order called for the cutting of just one tree, but they made time in their schedule to cut down the other six.  Everyone was excellent in his work, and polite.  All in all, this was a most positive experience for me and my neighbors!

We've had them work on our lot twice now and each time the experience was very professional...when the crews arrived punctually, on both occasions as they progressed through trimming and culling trees, when we required further trimming and a couple of trees we needed to cull...they did the extra work on the spot for minimal charge.  There climber was scary great!  He managed to lay trees down precisely without damage to surrounding trees and landscape.  This crew was courteous and hard working and very fast.  They are very reasonable in their pricing.  I plan to keep them on speed dial for future work.

I would not use Crickets again. My backyard has deep indentations I will have to fill from where big chucks of tree trunks fell. I had thought they were going to grind all six stumps. When they seemed to be getting ready to leave I asked the man in charge. He said their estimate had said "grind accessible stumps", and the one on the side of the house and two in the back were not accessible. I was greatly disappointed. I had some piles of things I had trimmed myself a few days before they arrived. I asked if they could scoop those up as they were pick g up what they cut. They told me it would cost $350 more to do so. I could not afford to do that. To make it even worse, they actually threw some of what they cut onto my stacks making my job even harder (to move the branches to the road for the city to pick up). Additionally, they hit the corner of my house as they pulled their truck up into the backyard. It damaged my 4 day old roof. What a disappointment. The crew manager said he thought his co-workers were saying "go" when they were actually saying "no". They did send a guy out the next day to repair the roof. My experience with Crickets was poor.

They came on time, were very efficient, removed and pruned trees, replaced lawn furniture and cleaned up carefully, and hauled away all the debris. Very professional and very efficient. A very good price for the work. Very satisfied.

I have used Cricket's Tree Service in the past and have always been impressed with the courtesy and skill of their workers as well as with the way they clean the premises before leaving.  They may be a little more expensive than some smaller businesses but their attention to surrounding trees is excellent and they have a variety of equipment available for different circumstances.  With this visit, they had several challenges due to the location of the removed tree which had grown right next to a chain link fence on one side and a 60 year old camellia "tree" on the other.  Neither was damaged during the removal.  I had the stump ground with hope that the mimosa will not sprout up again and the worker spread the ground mulch around nearby camellias before leaving.  Very nice job.
