When I first called for an estimate, Doug quickly responded and came to my house.  He told me he would get to it "this week".  He and his crew finally showed up almost 2 weeks later - with no communication in the interim.  The crew used a bucket truck as we had discussed - accessing the 3 trees from my neighbors yard as we had agreed.  I began to get a little concerned when I realized they were not using plywood to protect at least where the truck stabilizers were set (another service I've used uses plywood extensively to guard against yard damage; of course, they charge more).  I also was somewhat concerned when they began dropping large branches that often hit my shrubbery.  The shrubs came out reasonably intact, but the holes in the ground from the stabilizers and truck tires will have to be repaired (by me).  They also dropped a large limb on my birdhouse - breaking its back mounting board in half (no offer to fix, etc.).  They sliced through a water hose with the chain saw.  Then when they moved the truck to my driveway to get the large limb, they crushed the drainage inlet at the street, which will require the city to completely replace it.  If they had backed in the way the driveway curves to the street, there would not have been any problem getting to the limb.  Although I saw them driving off the inlet on their first failed attempt to back in the wrong way, I didn't see the damage until they had left.  But I'm sure it was obvious to the guy guiding the truck backwards.  They never mentioned what they had done to me.  All in all, it certainly wasn't worth the savings using this service.  I'll go back to the careful guys next time.

Doug came out to the house, and gave me a bid on the spot.  He was the least expensive of the 4 bids.  Since the tree was in a narrow spot near the septic tank, he could not use trucks.  The work was done well and quickly.  There was a huge amount of limbs and leaves which were all cleaned up before they left.  I was very pleased with the job.

I have used this service before and was very pleased with the overall job.  I have a huge oak tree that needed some major branches trimmed.  They also trimmed several trees on the side of our home and in the back.  I would definitely use them again!  I called them and in about an hour the owner came and gave me an estimate.  They also have a 10 percent off coupon on their website.

My experience with them was good and we used our Angie's List discount. They were on time and they did the job. The price was good and they were very efficient.

I called to leave a message on a Saturday, expecting to get an answering machine, and got a live person.  He came by that same afternoon and walked through my yard with me, which allowed me to get suggestions about other things they could do for me besides taking out 4 dead trees.  We decided to take out 2 additional dead trees in my front yard, remove a hedge that I hated, prune limbs from over my roof and limb up many other trees in my backyard.  They arrived when promised, and did a great clean up after themselves.

The response for an estimate was very quick and work was completed in a reasonably amount of time. There was no mess left - they did a good job of cleaning up after they finished with the tree.

Bill Armstrong performed a very professional assessment of what was services were needed. Trees that I had thought would need to be removed were actually healthy and only needed trimming. When the crew arrived Bill came along and introduced all the guys and made sure they were clear on exactly what was to be done.  They worked very carefully to protect landscaping and even moved and replaced patio furniture.  When the work was completed they thoroughly cleaned up all debris.  They were awesome and are the only tree service I will have do work for me in the future! I highly recommend them!!!

They are a very professional company. They are also reliable.

From initial estimate to his follow-up which earned him the job to the last time Mr. Renken drove away from the property, the work was totally professional.  My recommendation is to always check to see if licensure is required and, if so, whether the person has it and if he has insurance and in what amount.  Mr. Renken did have a $1M policy at the time the work was done.  Licensure not required except for a "business license" which just permits you to do business in the city or county and is not one where passage of an examination is required.

Came on time, performed all services and sent a clean up man the next day to remove a sizeable amount of debris.

The project was completed over a period of 3 days. Doug is very responsive. He either answers on the first call or calls back within an hour and is a very positive and pleasant person as well as a very hard worker. This was a large project completed in budget. No surprises on the invoice, it was exactly as quoted, even though an extra tree and some branch trimming was done outside of the project scope! There were some ruts left in my yard from the large cranes. They had plywood available to prevent this but didn't use it. Doug thought the ground was going to hold since it hadn't rained in weeks. It didn't and that's what the B rating is for. I'm sure if it was something that could have been fixed before the project was over Doug would have fixed it, but ruts take time to fill in. Overall great job!

Capital Tree service did very good work. They got a lot of work done in a small amount of time. They removed a very large tree from my property on short notice. This tree had damaged my house and I needed it gone quickly. They did a great job and were very good to work with in many ways.

From the initial phone call to completion, I was very satisfied with the service. I called the owner and he came out the same day to give me an estimate. He also told me about a coupon on his web site for an additional discount. They came to complete the job when scheduled and afterwards cleaned up everything and hauled it away. The owner and his crew were very experienced and courteous. I was very satisfied with their work.
