The retractable cord on our vacuum cleaner was stuck and would not release. Try as I might using every tool imaginable, we could not get it loose. I remembered seeing this vacuum repair store next to a restaurant we like to frequent, so decided I would take the vacuum in to see if the could release the cord. I took it in on a Saturday afternoon. The gentlemen in the store (sorry, but I can't remember his name) also tried to get the cord loose by pulling on it. When it still wouldn't release he said that he would try to get the vacuum body open and fix it. I left it with him. He called me Monday morning saying that he was able to repair it. I'm not sure how much this type of repair normally costs, as I have never had a vacuum cleaner repaired, but it seemed reasonable as he said it was difficult to remove the case from the body of the vacuum. I was happy to get my vacuum back and it was a pleasant experience.
