Budget Blinds works out of a showroom within the Tallahassee Lighting and Fans store on Capital Circle N.E. We went to the store to obtain service and Budget Blinds had a salesperson at our home within 48 hours. The salesman estimated 18 days to obtain and deliver the blinds we purchased items to our home and install them. There was an email part-way through the waiting period to let us know the order was in progress. A few days after the estimated 18 day estimated delivery date, we contacted Budget Blinds and were told the order had already been received and was ready for installation. We agreed to a date a few days forward. The installation was quick and efficient - the installer was in and out in less than 2 hours. We would use Budget Blinds again, if we had need for more window coverings.

I received a call back from the sales person 2-3 days after leaving my initial message. We made an appointment for the following week and she arrived promptly. She was helpful and informative, and my husband and I were pleased with the blinds we ordered.The sales person measured our windows and tolds us that the company requires 75% of the payment up front. I thought that was steep but was promised the shades would be delivered and installed in 2-3 weeks. At the end of three weeks with no contact, I called to find out about my order. The call was answered by an answering service. I left a message but received no return call. After a couple of days, I emailed the sales rep. She responded the next day and offered to follow-up on the order. I told her that I was disappointed in the responsiveness of the office. I didn't hear anything more for several days and then got a call from the sales rep saying my order had been delayed. It took almost 5 weeks for the shades to finally arrive. The installer, John, was excellent- fast, courteous and professional, but two of the blinds. He said that re-orders received priority but would not commit to a time frame. John called twice over the next 3 weeks to tell us that the shades had been delayed for a variety of reasons. During this whole mess, he was the only person from Budget Blinds who ever initiated a call to me, except at the very end (after more than two months) when the shades were finally in.
I am pleased with the quality of the blinds and feel that the price was fair. However, I will never go back to Budget Blinds based on their horrible customer service.

We originally ordered blinds in the spring. Shortly after they were installed, the bedroom blinds did not perform as they should. They were top down/bottom up cordless. Gary came out to the house to inspect them and agreed that they were not performing. When the manufacturer did not agree, we switched to top down/bottom up corded style. Gary ordered the replacement blinds and had them installed. The new blinds work very well.

This is an update on a service that Budget Blinds performed for me in March, 2011. After having some problems with the service provided by Budget Blinds, I received phone calls and a visit from the owner, Gary. He came to my home and assessed the blind that was not working properly. In one week's time Gary himself came back out and installed the new blind as well as checked the other one. While my initial experience was not positive, Gary has more than proven that he wanted me to be a satisfied customer. He gave me a $350 refund for the trouble as well as a gift card for future purchases to his company. He also has been very attentive to me regarding my satisfaction. It says something about a company when they can come back after a problem and not only correct the problem but also stand behind their product. I feel very confident now that any future purchases I make from Budget Blinds will be a positive experience and I would recommend working with Gary to those who need blinds and window coverings. Thank you, Budget Blinds, for proving your reliability and service!

"While there was a problem with the blind that was installed originally, it was remedied along with giving the customer a gift cert for having to schedule the installation of the replacement blinds. While the customer is now Very Happy - Apparantly Angies List can not correct the original bad complaints that the Michele has tried to change.
