My boyfriend owned a restaurant and we used them and the customer service was horrible. Commercially it was absolutely horrible. I had to call people and chew people out for them to even come out and look at things. It took them weeks to get parts and they weren’t the right parts. They eventually replaced the unit. It was a month long ordeal. It took forever and our cooks were cooking in a hot kitchen. I called them about the air conditioner and I got a sh*tty man on the phone who was the supervisor that tried to tell me it was my fault because we did not maintain it. I said number one, we did maintain it and we did exactly what you told us we had to do when you installed it. We do it on a regular schedule basis, as a matter of fact we do it more often than regularly schedule. He said we should have been on a maintenance plan and I said if someone had offered it to us we would have put it on a maintenance plan but nobody offered it to us.  I literally had to call on a Saturday to get the after-hours people to come out because they weren’t in communication with that crappy supervisor because he promised to send somebody out that day and nobody came that day or the next day. So I would say we would never use them again commercially or personally. They failed to realize that the return air vent was close enough to the fire and it was sweating in grease because that is where they put it. He tried to say we had a one hundred or something dollars that we haven’t paid yet. I said, ok, what’s the billing address and they were billing the owner of the building and not us. So we didn’t know there was an outstanding bill. It was for one of those previous visits when they came in and did maintenance.

Initially they did fine. They responded quickly and all of that but I did have problems later on in the year with it. It would cut off because the pan was filling with water. So they came and said when they installed it they didn’t angle the pipe leading to the pipe that goes out and they said that wasn’t done correctly so they fixed it. I’m on an annual maintenance plan with them. They also told that the drain is clogged and I was like am on annual maintenance plan so if you’re telling me that I need clean it in less than a year then you guys need to set up that plan that they come out every 10 months or whatever it takes. They did a decent job in my house.

The technician showed up within 2 hours, provided a diagnostic, and was able to pump freon into my A/C in less than an hour. The Freon was $90/lb. The diagnostic call was $90. The technician was also able to offer some ideas about what might be wrong, the price ranges to fix the problem long term, and he called me the next morning to set up a daytime appointment to find a permanent solution to the problem. I was very pleased to have help getting my house cool late at night!

Extremely professional job. Arrived on time and proceeded to remove my unit which had been damaged by a tree and install a new Carrier heat pump. When they were done, the unit worked perfectly.

I contacted Air Control for service. The technician replaced the Capacitor ,checked system and gave us and ok on the rest of the system. The next day, same issue ,I called Air Control back, another technician came and said we must have a leak, added freon. The next day same problem, called them back, the technician who said there was a leak, check freon level and level hadn't changed; therefore, we needed to replace the Compressor for $1452.00. That same day Monday (6/16/14) I called -------- Air Conditioning. Bailey came out, checked the system determined the condenser fan motor was getting hot and tripping the thermostat. The fan motor was replaced ; total cost for the repair $425.00, we have been cool since .

I contacted Air Control after having the unit repaired. The manager apologized and refunded the cost of the original service.

Save yourself time and money.

Called a little after 8am for a service call. Service technician called at 1pm and the a/c was cooling again by 2pm. The a/c had frozen and needed freon. I'll be calling Air Control for future diagnosis and repairs.

They said the fan + compressor were bad and that would be about $2,000 to fix and they recommended getting a new unit which they quoted $4,200. We got two more opinions from other companies and turns out that not only was the compressor perfectly fine but there was ZERO need for a new unit. They had told us that just fixing the fan would have been over $400 and we had that fixed by a different company (Lloyd heating and air conditioning) for a fraction of that cost. I will never call this company again, they are totally overpriced and dishonest.

Air Control provided the best price and was always there when they said they would be. They kept my old system operating until the new installation was made, and were very professional. They made sure the worksite was clean when they left. I was very pleased with both the unit, the price and their service.

They keep their appointments and each technician has been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Their charges are in line with other providers. I'm a bargain-shopper and part reluctantly with cash for repairs so the price for duct cleaning seemed high and the last technician charged me about $200 to clean the coil when it had been done about 4 weeks earlier. Granted, dirt had splashed into it again but I would have appreciated it he had simply told me I could wash it down and spray it with a hose myself instead of telling me I needed to have them do it. On the other hand, he originally said I should replace my unit since it was old and, after inspecting it, he changed his mind and said it was not necessary. He also originally said there were problems with my ductwork but again, when I explained it was Air Control that originally installed he said that the installation was correct and professional but that technology has changed in the last 18 years and at some point in the future it could be upgraded.
I believe they are a solid, reputable company. But I recommend push-back when work is recommended to be sure the work is really needed; this last tech seemed to have some salesman training (smile.)

I've used them on my retail store, my rental properties and my home. They are very good. They prioritize nicely. If it's nothing important, they come out the next day. If its sweltering hot day and the AC died, they will get you in today and they are very good on that. I've been using them for seven or eight years now.

Diagnostic technician over sold company's responsiveness this repair. Repairs were ultimately made. The technicians are positive assets to the company, not so sure about the company.

Jack Kelly came out promptly and, before examining the unit, told me I would need a new unit. He then examined the unit for a few minutes but without using gauges, and told me we would need to replace the heat exchanger unit, which was only a few years old. He also said that the newest air heat exchange units were much more efficient than the water heat exchange unit we currently had. (This is contrary to the laws of physics) I am embarrassed to say that, given the house temperature of 40 degrees at the time, I signed the blank contract he put in front of me. He had workers out to the house within one hour (while I was conferring with a more knowledgeable neighbor) and they had dismantled the current compressor before I was able to tell them I had second thoughts. I called another contractor, whom my neighbor had recommended. James Eden came out and identified the problem: someone had unplugged the compressor. He got our current unit working again within a few minutes, even while it was lying on the ground. I asked Air Control to put the unit back, which they did. Mr Kelly came out the next day and handed me all copies of the contract and he said nothing about a bill for services. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, who did little more than ask me to complete some forms, then dropped the case. I contacted the Bureau of Professional Regulation (the state agency). Mr Kelly was subsequently fired by Air Control, and I received an apology from Mr Perry, the owner, who also pleaded with me to drop the complaints to BBB and DPR. I was never billed by Air Control. I have been told by other people in the field that this incident is not uncommon with Air Control. Bottom line: I found Air Control to be untruthful and/or incompetent in addressing the problem. Mr Kelly lied to me about the efficiency of water source vs air to air systems. He did not use proper equipment to diagnose the problem, and he falsely determined, before checking the unit, that I needed a new air to air system. Further, the compressor was unplugged, and not by me. Air Control set out to sell me a different system, when all I needed was a minor adjustment.

Propane furnace went out in dead of winter and noone could figure out how to fix it. The Air Control sales rep. offered to have a technician come and take a look at it. The tech determined that the problem was an inappropriate digital thermostat we had installed in the spring and replaced it with one that got the furnace working. Due to the cost of propane and the fact that the furnace was over 40 years old and the air conditioner wasn't particularly efficient, we decided to replace the system. Air control was one of many companies where we got a quote and for the system we chose (12 SEER), were the least expensive. The staff who installed the system were puncutal, professional, diligent and hard working. We thoroughly enjpyed their company while they were on the job. We have no complaints and the new system is working fine and appears to have improved our comfort level. This is partially due to this being a two stage compressor and a variabel speed fan. We have not yet had to use the furnace, but have no reason to believe it will not perform well. It is a high end model, bur is only 80 percent efficiency (which is normal) and being naural gas should save money. We were very pleased wih our experience and will be using Air Control to service our new system.
