DO NOT let American Leak Detection do any plumbing repair work for you. Their leak detection service is fair, but they attempt to suck you into paying an inflated fee for the follow-up repair job to fix the leak. Adam D. Of their company gave me an estimate of $2,550 to repair and re-route a sleeved plumbing line. Hired All Repair Plumbing who charged me less than half - $1,150 - for the same work. If you enjoy being price-gouged, this company is for you. If not, stay far, far away.

Called last night- left a message Texted through the website “our customer service professional will call you in the morning” Called again 9am- for the third time have my zip code, address, name and phone number Still no call back I think this is not a real business- just a referral site / call center- try it, you will always be rerouted to the “answering service” On my third call with the answering service- and after giving her my full information for the third time- I asked her if this is a real business with a real location and real people who work there “Of course sir we’ll call you right back” and since then- no call I think they tipped their hand to me that this is just an internet referral website scam and I am so glad I didn’t have them come to my house. Stay far away!!

Ken came out right on time of appointment. He was very quick to begin his search and did not waste any time as you pay for the first hour and hourly rate after that. He found the problem area and marked the location with an X with tape. The leaking pipe was underneath the foundation. Be aware this company only finds the problem area and do not do any repairs but it made it much easier to find someone to do the job after the leak was located. I am glad I hired them, could not have found the leak without them. I gave them a B on responsiveness only because it took 2 days to get an appointment. Caught them on a very busy week.

Very professional company. As soon as I contacted, received call from technician and he explained the detection procedure and plumbing code etc in my county. On the appointment day, Technician Ken visited my house on time. Used his equipments to detect water leak. He was able to detect particular pipe but not exact location due to limitation of plumbing done in my area. He has not charged any money and top of it he explained me solution and provided plumbers contacts. Very next day I received complete report of work performed at my house.

Excellent service provided by the technician, Ken. The leak was hard to trace, pipes being buried in foundation. In fact, it could pinpoint it. Hence he did not charge me. I highly recommend this company.

The Tech showed up exactly on time. He explained the process and procedure. He was very informative and professional. The leak detection was very difficult and took two days and two different techs, but they did locate a leak. Explained to me where the leak most likely was occurring and discussed options to stop the leak. After their leak conclusion, I hired a plumber and the leak was EXACTLY in the location they determined. All repairs have been made. I thought the leak was small, but my water consumption has decreased significantly. I would definitely refer American Leak to friends, family and any one who may suspect a water leak. They worked very hard, showed determination, and really cared.

The person doing the testing was very nice and spent alot of time (a few hours) trying to detect where the leak was located .
We later received a written report from the company with explainations of where the leak might be coming from.

Said the leak was probably quite small, thought it was in a certain
wall, but wasn't sure so declined to mark it for the plumber. Offered
money, but would not take it. Leak turned up exactly where he thought it
would be! Awesome and honest.

Had them come out and check for water leaks under concrete. They confirmed no leaks and provided a plausible explanation as to the source of the accumulated water. Satisfied customer.

I scheduled an appointment and the tech arrived promptly. He checked the water meter and listened for running water. He determined that there wasn't a plumbing leak. He didn't charge me since he didn't set up and use his leak detection equipment. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Subsequently I hired a new plumber selected from Angie's list and had the kitchen drainpipe replaced.

It was a quick procedure and non-invasive to the pool, so we would probably use them again; I just think it was too much money in general.

We were very impressed with the punctuality and professionalism and overall level of service. We would definitely recommend this company for this service. Their overall level of service is an "A."
