All Florida Kitchens & Baths

They were great. They came last Monday and I was very pleased. I am having another kitchen done at my house very shortly and I'm going to use him. They called me back every time I called. He met me when we had an appointed time. He said the cabinets would be in and they came in. He was just so professional and it was a big difference. I am waiting for him to finish the granite. I had ordered the granite yesterday, paid it the day before yesterday, and he will install it when it comes in. He did the lights and everything. They are very efficient.

Rich's quote was fairly high as most were in this area. I was happier with the garage cabinets than the indoor finish work. Rich could be more creative surrounding helping the customer establish their needs, ie drawer space, utility and overall capacity needs. Rich is more of a laborer than a designer. I get that now. Rich missed his time estimate by twice his initial time quote due to in-part circumstances involving other people that were helping him do his finish work. The other huge disappointment was that I wanted some kitchen cabinetry interior shelves built, he brought the sample book and we picked out the dividers but then I never heard back from Rich about a cost or timeline. I paid him for the work he finished and never heard from him again. I would not recommend All Florida based on the service I received in my home and their lack of follow-thru. I guess his business is really good and did not need a small job. Regardless i deserved some communication. Keep doing your research and look deeper.

Jason was really quite good. The job was a bit time consuming, but they did one heck of a job for the money.

The job went very smoothly.  all the sub-contractors that Rich suggested worked out very well and he oversaw the work done by them.

Rich and his son were at my home when they promised..Were very exact with their measurements. If it did not look right to them they did it over again.

When we initially approached them for a quote, we had previously been provided a plan and quote from one of the big box stores for the same work.  While the price Rich and Jason quoted was slightly higher, the quality of the cabinetry was markedly higher than that described in the big box quote. The design Rich provided effectively incorporated the physical attributes of our kitchen as well as the ideas we brought to the table.  Once the design was accepted and finalized, Rich provided a description of how the work would be performed and 'what would happen when'.  The cabinets were finished when Rich initially indicated, and all their installation work was completed on time.  The entire job was in budget. Both workmanship and appearance of the cabinets are above our initial expectations.  Throughout their time on the job, they took pains to leave the work area clean at the end of each day, as well as to minimize the mess during the workday. We would enthusiastically recommend All Florida Kitchens and Baths to anyone considering a remodel of this type.

Rich was able to design cabinets to fit where other providers could not without removing a wall. I visited his workshop, where he showed his work, cabinet base construction/materials, cabinet designs, and cabinet colors. During installation, he and his son were very neat. I heard horror stories about the dirt and dust during kitchen remodels and I was pleasantly surprised how little dust there was. Installation process went smoothly. Rich and his son are very meticulous in the alignment of every piece and cabinet face. I found All Florida Kitchen through Angie's List and I could not be happier. The kitchen looks great!

It was and is great to watch the men work. They are very professional and do all that is asked of them. I was not very specific and Rich gave me a lot of good ideas, he is honest and hard working and I will use him again.

I liked them and they were very good. They were very reasonable. A friend recommended them. It took about 1 1/2 months for the work.

I started research in March, met with Rich in April and signed the contract June 12. My husband and I were in Va for 2 weeks and at the same time, Rich began our cabinets. Demo started 7/19, quickly followed by electrical and plumbing work. The tile was laid in both the kitchen and family room 7/24 and upper cabinets were installed 7/26. Base cabinets were installed 7/28 and the ceiling knockdown and granite template were done 7/29. Painting was done and Rich and Jason installed the cabinet doors 8/2-3 as well as the hardware I purchased. The electrician and plumber came in to finish their installations, and the granite for the island and countertops was installed 8/7. Rich came in 8/9&10 to patch and do any finish work and the kitchen was virtually done in 3 weeks and 2 days with the exception of 2 cabinet doors that had to be special ordered because of an unusually large microwave. As the customer, I would definitely be sure to communicate with Rich as well as other subs to be sure you have the supplies you need to purchase available to them when they need them. If you don't, the job most certainly will be delayed because Rich schedules very precisely and if the materials are not available to the subs, they can't do the job. I was extremely pleased with all the workmanship provided through All Florida Kitchens & Baths and highly recommend them. They work VERY hard and truly care about the quality of their work. I definitely would use them again and actually plan to have them renovate our master bathroom when the budget allows. I owe Rich and Jason a great deal of gratitude to make this renovation as painless and timely as possible. When the appliances were delivered 7/29, the delivery people couldn't believe it was the 3rd week of construction. They estimated the work crew were in their 6th month of the project! An honest, reputable, licensed and insured company that delivers what they promise is a rare thing in South Florida and I'm delighted I worked with Rich & Jason.

Jason was an absolute spot on worker. He was here when he said he would be here. He walked me through getting my tile. He called constantly when not around or when subcontractors were working on the project to keep me informed of what was going on and to make sure I was happy with the subs. He just generally made the whole process as painless as possible. He also completed the job a couple days before his estimate. Finally the cherry on top of the whole process was when we called me back 2 days after project completion to tell me that he saw in his notes where he needed to fill a small spot in the grout that had been missed. This spot was so small it would have NEVER been caught until problems arose years down the road. He came back over the next day repaired the small hole and left. No one in the world other than Jason would have known about this needed fix and he would have never been held accountable by anyone by the time it was a problem, but he came in and repaired it anyway because HE would know. That is why I can wholeheartedly recommend Jason at All Florida Kitchen and baths to every friend I know.

Rich stayed with the job, and he would have finished on time if the cabinet door maker had not made a mistake, requiring a redo of the doors. On the day they were ready, he picked them up and came directly to our home to finish the job. As always, Rich was caring, courteous and professional. He's worth the extra pennies it costs to hire a certified, licensed and bonded worker.

They were very nice people and both the father and son were great. I didn’t get the work done by them since I just felt that they were a bit too expensive. They were really good and professional. I had installed the cabinets myself and all they had to do was pull it out, retile the whole thing and put it back in. I had also replaced the toilet myself and they had to tile around it and install it back. The cost of new cabinets would come up to $900 to $1500 and it was already there. The quote they gave me also included the price of the tiles and I had to still purchase the tiles, but overall they were too expensive for me. The owner called me and did a follow-up on it. He also mailed me and I told him that I was still in the process of getting more quotes. I would use their services again.

Our overall experience with All Florida Kitchen and Bath was outstanding and the end result of the remodel is above and beyond our expectations. Rich and Jason Maurer, owners of All Florida Kitchen and Bath, anticipated our needs every step of the way; they provided exceptional guidance and recommendations. The subcontractors they used were also top-notch. We feel we definitely benefitted from everyone's depth of experience in this business.

I contacted Jason after having a nightmarish experience with another flooring vendor (took a deposit, failed to show up to install the flooring on two separate occasions, and then unwilling to refund the deposit). Jason truly came through. I had a specific request for toasted bamboo laminate to match some existing flooring in another room. Jason found flooring material that was a close match the same day, and came out to install it the following day. It goes without saying that the turnaround time was quick, but the work was high quality and the finished product beautiful. He did an excellent job. I've attached "before" and "after" pictures to show the quality.

Though I decided to forego the remodeling job at my townhouse, their estimate was the most competitive and professional of the four contractors I interviewed. I would have retained them to do the work. The installation and repair work they did at my house was excellent. They were on time, professional, extremely helpful with additional suggestions, and courteous. Both Rich and Jason are skilled at a variety of tasks, and I developed an instant confidence that the job would be done right. I would recommend them highly, and wouldn't hesitate to use them for additional services.

These were major projects and being new to renovating a house I think it went pretty smooth. The Master bath project took a little longer than I expected but that was mainly due to the holidays and a shortage of tile that was a special order. The other projects started and finished right on schedule.

Because it was the end of the year, with intervening holidays, we had to wait a while for Rich to get us on his schedule, but when he started, he stayed with it until it was finished. He timed deliveries and work in such a fashion that it impacted as little as possible on our lives, and he always left the place neat and clean. Once, when he had to saw through a header, causing much dust to fly, he actually had his son hold a vacuum hose near the blade, so as to catch the wood dust before it could spread through the house. The bulk of the work was finished within the time he had promised, and the one week's delay in completion was due to failure of the custom finish to dry on some of the doors. Rich is easy to work with and has a positive, "can do" attitude.

I had just purchased a condo in Ft. Lauderdale as a second home and need some re-modeling. I knew absolutely no re-modeling people in Ft. Lauderdale and decided to subscribe to Angie's List. As it turned out at the time, All FL Kitchens & Baths was the only company listed on my search. I contacted them and they met with me and made a quote. They also provided references which I checked. I did get another quote, however felt more comfortable with All Ft (Rich Maurer) and their price was what I felt to be fair and reasonable. What can I say; they did what they said they would do, they were use to working in condo communities which was new to me, no difference in prices except i added a few things and they were priced competitively, they made some good suggestions, all in all very good people to deal with. It was especially pleased since I had heard some bad stories concerning FL construction people. I highly recommend them. + Gary Higbee
