Description of Work: Looking for a vacuum in their shop.

Description of Work: I have used Donovan Taylor of A1 in the past to oil my sewing machine and repair my Granddaughter's sewing machine. We also took an old vacuum there but ended up purchasing a new one, which was n excellent idea. I have always been pleased with his service and professionalism.

Description of Work: My wife and I wanted to buy the best residential air purifier on the market, which was the IQair HealthPro Plus. It is made in Switzerland and is recommended by hospitals worldwide and Consumer Digest. Well, we searched online and found Donovan at A1 Vacuums and Sewing, in Sunrise, Florida. He was one of three that business that were designated dealers for IQAir. We spoke with Donovan on the phone. He ordered the product and had it shipped from California within a week. Today we picked it up. Donovan was very nice and had great customer service. He could not have been nice and more helpful.

Description of Work: I bought a Hoover rug shampoo machine online Sept. 2014. It worked excellently on our bedroom carpets. |When I set it up to do an upholstered chair it malfunctioned. |Called Hoover, they confirmed my purchase and directed me to A1 Vacuums and Sewing. I called Mr. Donovan Taylor who is the proprietor, and brought the machine in the following day. |I described the problem, he asked a couple of relevant questions, confirmed |my warranty status with Hoover and promised to call me the following week with a progress report. |The following Tuesday he called and said, "The part I need to repair the machine has been on backorder for some time. I'll have a new machine for you by next Tuesday. I'll call when it arrives." | | |The following Tuesday morning Donovan called to tell me my new Hoover was |in the store, and I could pick it up any time. | |Drove to A1, and there it was. No charge, no nonsense, no waste of time. |What I appreciated was Mr. Taylor calling when he said would, his accuracy |determining when the new machine would arrive, and his pleasant and professional demeanor. He asked if I would like the machine assembled (no charge) but it wasn't necessary and I thanked him for his service. |I also asked for his opinion on specific products for use on pet stains. He took the time to explain why products using enzymes were preferred, and explained the proper procedure to use for maximum efficiency. |Donovan has extensive experience with everything he services, is generous with his time and it was a pleasure to find a small business owner who believes in old fashioned customer service. |

Description of Work: Active Vacuum provided vacuuming services for me and also bought some filter bags for the vacuum.
