This was a job with little profit but was performed in a very professional manner with great attention to detail.  A portion of an expensive tile floor in my kitchen had come up due to poor installation.  I had just enough spare tiles to replace what was needed, so long as nothing else was broken or cracked during the removal of the old and installation of the new.  John Moore personnel did an excellent job and saved the day as I otherwise would have had to replace the entire tile floor in the kitchen and family room at a cost of thousands.

David and the crew were very punctual, very professional, and did everything they promised in the time frame they promised.  We are very pleased with our new floors and would recommend them to anyone.

Like clockwork. They arrived on time, removed carpet instages, levelled floor and installed laminate flooring. Everything went very smoothly. They have a cutter that shears the laminate so no saws in the house. The few pieces that needed saws were in the front yard. That caused delays as it was raining every afternoon. What may have been a 2 1/2 day job turned into a 4 day job.
Crew was well prepared and professional. The new baseboards are installed perfectly. They moved the furniture as necessary. Just a great job and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Update. March 2016 we added ceramic tile to our enclosed porch (lanai, Florida room). The job went very smoothly with high quality work and good prices. Again, highly recommended.

BROUGHT IN CARPET.  STRETCHED IT.  VACUUMED IT.  LIKE CLOCK WORK.    THEY KNEW THEIR TRADE AND THEY WERE EFFICIENT.  WE ARE DELIGHTED.

I going to give you the positives and the negatives in numbers.
Positives:
1. John help me pick out tile that would accent my counter top and the other rooms.
2.The job turned out great. I couldn't be happier.
3. They worked very very hard for 8 days without a day off.
4. They cleaned up after themselves.
5. They were honest and trustworthy.
6. They made sure that I was happy with the job and addressed any other concerns.
7. They tried their utmost to make sure everything was to my perfection. Job well done.
Negatives:
1. I was told by John that all I really need to do to prepare for this job was remove any glass or knickknacks out of cabinets. The crew would then move the furniture and cover everything with plastic.
2. Two pieces of furniture got deep scratches which they repaired.
3. One leather couch was scratched in 3 different places which they repaired.
4. Entertainment center had sustained a broken support which they repaired.
5. None of my three overhead fans were covered in plastic. After wards all three were covered in dust and one of them when turned on, made a loud grinding noise. They blew out each of the fans. Two of them had pieces of old ceramic tile in them.
6. Over the stove microwave also made a grinding when turned on. I blew out all kinds of dust. It had not been covered in plastic.
7. I have a Stereo, CD, DVD and Television in the the entertainment center. They moved the whole system as one. They covered it loosely with plastic, I really feel it wasn't adequately protected.
One of the things I feel every person should receive when replacing flooring of any type is an instruction sheet and what to expect. This I suggested to John Moore. Believe it or not I wouldn't of been as prepared as well as I had if it hadn't been for my friends who had flooring replaced recently. They gave me some great tips.
1. Remove the batteries from the fire alarms in affected rooms. Dust will set them off!
2. Close off your vents in unaffected rooms. I also put filters in them as well to collect the dust.
3. Intake vent on your air conditioner install a brand new filter at the start of the job. Make sure you buy 2 new filters. After the job is done, throw away the first one, because it will be full of dust. After the job is done, install the 2nd one. Buy the best you can. You will be so happy that you did.
4. Call in professionals to clean all your vents, windows and general cleaning.
5. Tape all cabinets and drawers with painters tape (2 inch 3M works best) to keep the dust out.
6. Remove all electronic equipment and put it in a box or wrap it yourself in plastic to protect it from dust.
I sincerely hope this has helped others.
Once again, I am very happy with how the flooring job turned out. I will definitely John Moore and company again. The next time I will be better prepared. I think after reading my evaluation one can understand my rating.

The installers showed up on time and were courteous, efficient and conscientious. The moved all furniature carefully and worked diligently and deliberately throughout the day. Some places required tedious trimming. In the end, the floor looks wonderful, it was a good choice and we are very pleased with the way it turned out. We worked with David Farney who was over the top open, honest and willing to help please our picky tastes. I don't think we could have made a better choice.

The people that work there and came out are really nice. The owner even acknowledged that one of the tiles was higher than the other and the grout was a different shade. I am not a professional but I can say that this is the worst job I had ever had. I even noticed that the corners weren?t leveled and when the tiles meet they aren?t the same level. The owner said that it?s supposed to be like that because it is tumbled tile and the guy who did it said that it?s because my floor isn?t leveled. I am really having a hard time now finding another company to come out and fix this because they don?t want to get in the middle of this. I have asked other companies? about this and they stated that all of my tile and corners are supposed to be leveled. This company is willing to regrout but not fix my corners. Originally when they ordered the tile they brought to my attention that there were two different tiles in the case. They stated that they would order six more cases so that they wouldn?t have to use the tiles that were different. I agreed with the installer and the tiles are beautiful, but how they laid it down is just not right.
UPDATE 09/11/14
After reading the response to my initial review from John Moore Flooring. There are several false statements in that response. 1) they did offer to send a rep from the tile company, but when I told them that I had a flooring inspector that offer was taken off of the table that was on 7/31/14 2) I never asked them to "grout over grout" their installer did that3)I never "slammed the door" in anyone's face4)The entire tone of trying to remedy this situation changed when I told them I was hiring a floor inspector. The last time I spoke to David was on 7/31/14 and he told me that he would have John Moore call me. I have not heard anything since then to try to make any attempt to make this right. No one has been to my home so the statement that I slammed the door in anyone's face is false.

After been held up on other matters this issue took a back seat and I also had a dispute in progress with the credit card department over the John Moore Flooring issue.  In December 2014, I was regrettably informed I had no chargeback rights to further pursue per Visa regulation because I signed a contract agreeing to "all sales are final", but I was given other avenues.
John Moore Floor Covering Warranty states it 'warrants the labor on the floor covering to the original purchaser for lifetime.  Any installation related issues will be done in a timely manner'.  But this was never the case with my flooring experience with John Moore Floor Covering/Anne's Design & Floors, everytime the floor installer came over with his 2-3 helpers they were always unprepared.  They couldn't replace any of the tiles because they had the wrong size tiles.  They asked me if I had grout left over, when I told them they didn't leave any grout behind they went outside and came back a short time later with a bag that was already open, it was less than half of a bag, I guess that's why they grouted certain areas, leaving me with a worse grout job.  I end up with the horrible workmanship.  I don't believe they had any intentions to do the grout job over or replace any of the tiles. I had to hire a Certify Floor Inspector and have a report stating the different grout color, different tiles, lippages and same markings and hue were all laid together and I have pictures.
Response from JOHN MOORE FLOORING
"We regret anytime a customer is unhappy and our desire is to make it right. The customer selected a hammered edge tile while lovely, has a natural pattern. When crew arrived to remedy the complaint, the client denied them access, claiming they were not in the mood. We offered to have a representative from the tile company to come look at it but they said no. During the course of the job the installer offered to make any changes they wanted, the customer refused to have the change done properly and demanded grout over grout. They were advised that this would cause a discoloration but they insisted. The customer did not like the pattern of tile so we ordered 7 extra boxes of tile at no cost-this is never done as it is a natural pattern. Again, when we arrived, the customer slammed the door in our face, making any reconciliation impossible. The customer said they are going to hire another company, which will make it impossible for us to take any further action. As the owner, I found it to be a beautiful tile job."

Had separate two-man crews for laminate flooring and for carpeting. Arrived promptly each day (entire operation took two and one-half days). Knew exactly what to do, were polite and careful. Moved and replaced furniture, as required. The laminate installation is excellent. Has been in nearly two years and still looks excellent --no ripples at seams. Excellent installers. The bathroom tile and carpeting also were excellent. I highly recommend John Moore Flooring.

Estimator was punctual, provided a reasonable estimate of costs, and arranged for an installation schedule suitable for our needs. The installation crew arrived promptly, acted in a professional manner, accommodated our requests, and completed the job on schedule. They moved all the necessary furniture without any damage, and cleaned up to our satisfaction. The results are exactly what we wanted and what was promised.

My daughter moved in after Thanksgiving and brought another dog home. She is not fixed so when she came into heat our 6 year old male did what any dog would do, he tore up the carpet under a gate trying to get to her. This was just days before Christmas and we had company coming. The nails were sticking out and we had to get it fixed. We checked Angie's list and found Moore Floor Covering. They sent someone out the day after we called. It took 30 minutes from start to finish to fix the torn up carpet and they were able to use a piece from a closet. They did great work and when I finally take up all the carpet next year I will call them for my new flooring needs.

AFTER SHOPPING FOR CARPET AND TILE ALL OVER BRANDON, WE HEARD ABOUT JOHN MOORE FLOOR COVERING FROM A FRIEND. THEIR PRICES WERE VERY COMPETITIVE AND THEIR SELECTION OF CARPET AND TILE WAS EXTENSIVE. THEY ALLOWED US TO TAKE DOZENS OF SAMPLES HOME TO SEE HOW THEY LOOKED.
