All Issues start at the TOP. Robert Burns is not a professional and takes no responsibility for his own mistakes. After trying to get a contractor for 3 years for a small job, met Burns. Requested he come look, provided him with the measurements we wanted for a small half bath in an existing office. Gave him some designs we thought would work. He did a sketch with NO measurements that matched my design. It went downhill from there. His subs tried to make it right, but instead of the 25 sq ft room we wanted he enlarged it to 42 sq ft. Should have known we were in trouble when the framer walked in the door and asked, "now what am I supposed to do?" The framing was done wrong, requiring the sheetrock man to spend days correcting the problems. Burns saw the issues but said nothing. He is excellent at upcharging. The finished product looks nothing like the original sketch, is much bigger than this 1250 sq ft house needed or wanted and took 5 weeks to complete resulting in additional storage costs for us two senior ladies. We never knew from day to day, until we called, if any work was going to get done. If there was lower than 1 star, I'd give it.

I know there are some who have had a great experience with Burns Woodworking and I'm happy for you. We used them for a kitchen and two bathrooms remodel. They were a nightmare to deal with but at just over 1/3 the price of other estimates I received, I ultimately got through it and was happy with the results. Less than a year later, paint on the cabinets, along the floor began to flake off. We didn't bother him with that, my husband scraped it off and repaired it. Then, one of the sinks they installed the master bath sprung a leak less than two years later. My husband went to Lowe's and Ace Hardware to try to get replacement washers but they didn't have them and couldn't order them. He went to Burns' Summerfield location and they told him we would have to buy new sinks. They said Mr. Burns would call him later that day. That was more than 2 weeks ago and we have not received a call back. My kitchen and bathrooms are gorgeous and the price was reasonable but if you want service after the sale, you can forget it with these people.

The crafts people actually doing the work were all top-notch, except for one of the electricians. Best cabinet guy I have ever dealt with, plumber was outstanding, demo guys were great. However, the support staff in the office were terrible. They do not return phone calls, project management was a nightmare, with numerous last minute changes and cancellations to the schedule. Contract was signed in Jan 2023, work not complete until September.

I wouldn’t recommend Burns Woodworking to anyone! NEVER!!! Very unprofessional company, that doesn’t know how to treat their employees. Robert Burns, screams and degrades you infront of all employees. Has his employees pay outta pocket for supplies for his jobs contracted out for his customers. Employee turns in receipts over $100 and doesn’t reimburse them. Employee, works a full work week and doesn’t pay what works was completed on job site. Was let go through a text message from his office secretary Andrea. Explanation of reason why, was employee didn’t put the front cabinets on properly! The funny thing is the customer contacted the employee, was complaining to him how Robert Burns ordered “cheap cabinets” and charged the customer, “top dollar” for cheap cabinets. So when the drawer fronts were installed, the customer didn’t get what she paid for and wasn’t very happy with the finished product overall!! The customer, didn’t pay the full amount just before Christmas. So guess what..... Robert Burns aka Bob, the employee never got paid, Robert, kept stringing his employee along to pay him for at least the supplies he paid for outta his own pocket and the hours worked! But, after a month, Robert aka “Bob”put his office Secretary Andrea up to texting them employee saying, the door fronts were messed up and now he had to pay for 3 brand new cabinets. We are NOT paying you! This company is very unprofessional & very crooked to his employees & customers! The customer never received the quality cabinets she paid for and the employee never received the monies put out outta his own pocket and worked a full week for free! Shady Business! Shady Company! Shady Employer to work for! Way to go Robert Burns

Never got past mr Burns coming to the house on24 August, to prepare an estimate. On 31 August i received an estimate from an employee by the name of Deserey. The estimate lacked a complete description of the work to be accomplished. I responded to her email with a number of questions concerning the incomplete work description. By 4 september, i had not received a response so i stopped by the office. I was introduced to a Deserey who said she never received the email, so i gave her a hard copy. As of 14 October, i had not heard a peep from Burns, No calls. no Emails, No Nothing. Needless to say i have hired someone else who was responsive. I would never hire Burns and would be happy not to recommend them to anyone.

THEY WONT BE IN BIZ LONG COST MORE THAN LOWES FOR GRANITE
