Tuchek Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

Tuchek does great work at a reasonable price. We recently replaced numerous ACs due to age and got several quotes to do the job. We chose two vendors and were able to compare the work and products. Tuchek's provided both high-quality service and a reasonable price. Tuchek runs a trustworthy business. Specifics: Tuchek did a high-quality job with the elevated ACs including weather-resistant AC stands They found intake problems and corrected the issue that had plagued me for years. They replaced the older copper tubes Tuchek installed and enabled our smart thermostats We put in three AC's one from someone else and two from Tuchek. Tuchek did a better job. It's imperative to note that we were not looking for the cheapest solution; we wanted quality equipment because everything in the Keys deteriorates quickly. We wanted to pay for better equipment. It turns out that Tuchek had better pricing on great equipment and better service. We spent more on the other vendor and didn't get the same quality. They did wear masks to prevent spreading anything When you need someone to do a quality job in a short period-of-time - like when it's hot, call them!

Put units in places in my attic that made the units impossible to repair. Had a coolant leak in one units from day one that they could not find the leak and another company found in two minutes. Both units have had multiple repairs over a few years. He didn't register my units, but told me he did so my warranty was voided. Was supposed to replace my duct work, but found out later he didn't. I would stay as far away from these guys as I could, Worse work I ever had done by anybody and the follow up service was horrible too.

Showed up same day as called in timeframe we were told. Diagnosed problem in short time, replaced parts on this first visit from supplies on truck. We called next day to say and quot;seems louderand quot;. Came out within an hour or so, reconnected new motor to lower HP rating which solved problem.



Excellent response and service.

After a disastrous dual HVAC installation, by subcontractor David Satelle of Tropicool Services, Frank Tuchek-Tuchek Air Conditioning and Refrigeration was the THIRD contractor brought in to repair a non-functioning HVAC system. Despite
five attempts by another HVAC contractor, Frank was able to troubleshoot and get both HVAC systems functioning in less than two hours. He actually contacted the manufacturer's tech support to isolate the problem, rather than throwing parts at the problem. He then tackled the inept duct work installation, done by Tropicool Services, and got the house cooling as well as possible. His crew
did a great job repairing the duct work and cleaning up after themselves. Professional and knowledgeable he's a rarity in the Florida Keys.
